Stef's riffs offset against Chinos vocals in a way that no matter the song or album you can always tell who you're listening to. Timeless, haunting beauty. Been a mainstay in my collection for 26 years. Plus that guitar collection! I would sell my lower body for one of those custom pieces!
Defiantly one of the best tracks on diamond eyes imo.. I love the drum and bass pattern in the verse.. lyrics are sick af and the bridge is super violent.. very nice as expected..
Very bummed about Sergio Vega. I understand that the original 3 guys are the principal song writers, but Jesus Christ. Sergio has played bass on 4 records, toured with DEFTONES extensively, AND lets be honest here, is a huge reason the band didn't just fold after Saturday Night Wrist. I still love the DEFTONES, but any good will or good faith I had in the band after Chi's passing has just evaporated. It's very cold to get rid of someone that's put their heart and soul into something for that long. I suggest watching the documentary "Hired Guns." It's a very in depth look at 'hired' touring musicians.

I just hope neither side spills any dirt on each other. I hope they can keep it private. They all seem like good guys but it gets so tricky when it comes to the business side of being in a band.

Great song. Reading alot of comments about Sergio Vega, what deftones is going through is similar to Metallica. Even after the passing of late cliff Burton & hiring of Jason newsted, Metallica still hadn't moved on. Same with deftones, chi cheng played a pivotal role, and might be a while before the band settles on hiring a new member. As a band, this hasn't stopped their creative juices from flowing and kept on making good albums ever since, power to deftones and respect to Sergio.

I would like to think Chi’s family still gets a cut and having Sergio a member could mean his family gets smaller checks. i don’t think enough of us know about the Sergio situation, but replacing an original member due to them passing has been hard for most bands, like Metallica. i don’t think we should forget that our favorite artists are human as well; though that doesn’t mean they’re immune from mishandling an issue. the way they’ve gone about this situation is questionable at best, but we should take them posting this play through for what it is and enjoy it. I’m gonna miss Sergio a ton, and I thought ohms was his best work to date, but there’s a bad taste left in my mouth after finding out he was a hired gun. it reminds me of the Chris Fehn situation for slipknot all over again. cheers to Sergio, he was an integral piece of the puzzle that was deftones these past 4 albums.

This mess with Sergio needs to be addressed, the band should make a statement because to be honest it’s not a good look for the ‘Tones. This is something I thought happened in lesser bands.
Not gonna pretend I know what went on with Sergio, thought he was a great addition after Chi, but I'm gonna back the guys that have been constant in my life since 94. I'm hopeful they did what they did for Deftones.
