I have registered on your free course : transform your money mindset. I'm done and i have received my certificate of completion. this of one of my best decisions so far this year. God bless you. I'm summarizing the lesson to share with my husband.
After listening to the nine steps you have suggested I believe I'm doing at least 5 of them. What your advice does secures me in that I'm doing the right thing. Just in a month and a half I put a substantial amount into my saving. Where I was behind on my bills I'm now 1 to 2 weeks ahead, but it took approximately 5 months to get there (especially in times as these.) As of today I have reached my emergency fund. At 60 you are wiser learning from the past not purchasing anything and/or everything you want. Be appreciative with what you have and growing from there. You don't necessarily have to work harder, but you definitely have to work smarter. At 60 there isn't a lot of time left, so focus on your health and your finances. Doesn't mean you have to become a hermit or a scrouge. Thanks for your teachings. I'm thinking of doing "weather Wednesday" seems challenging.
I hit rock bottom..I had no car, no place, no savings, and no job. I have a job now, still sleeping on a couch, no car, $1000 in savings, $ 700 in 401k. I just take it one day at a time.
You will make it you are working don't give up, baby steps one day at a time stay focus ,not having a car will help you save more, no insurance and car maintenance but when the time is right you will get there so proud of you !!🥰
I am so glad I've found a recent vlog. I'm a 60 year old male literally starting over. I've made comments on a couple of your videos and have found them not just inspiring but do-able. My goal for 2022 is to save $10,000. I have already started with restarting my 401-k, and getting debt relief from FDR (Freedom Debt Relief), which is working beautifully. My car payment and utilities are all in check. I make approx. $35,000/yr. just recently I was able to save $600 to apply to an emergency fund. I'm going to be using your instructions as a baseline for my financial goals. For some reason you make me feel accountable (in a good way). Thank you so much and keep doing what you're doing. God Bless!
That's wonderful! Glad the name (Clever GIRL finance) didn't deter you! When hubs and I started seeing each other, the first thing we asked each other was for financial habits. It wasn't to compare what both of us had gotten out of, but to ensure we were on the same page and that we weren't getting the same issues in different packaging 😂. We have bi-weekly money dates (aside from regular dates), revamp personal and couple goals, and have no issue w laying out any shortcomings. We have had more debt free vacays & staycays, paid off debts, bought & paid OFF vehicles & home in our brief union (close to 7 yrs now/known each other for 39) than either of us had in the 20+ yrs of either of our marriages 😮 I've been called so many names it used to hurt my feelings so bad (El Cheapa The CheapQueen, Ms. ScroogeMiser, SkinnyFlint, Nickledean, you name it) But Frugal and cheap are different though. I buy quality at the lowest price and make sure it's made to last. Right before my Exodus, I finally said the one thing NO ONE could call me was broke👊🏾 Packed up & haven't regretted a thing. ~Best to you on your journey!🎉
Quitters don't win and winners don't quit. No matter what you do, keep moving and know that starting investment earlier in life is the key to building wealth. Always invest with the right approach and opportunity.
I thought I'm the only one he has helped through fears and fall of forex and stock trading. He's thoroughly a nice and life changing mentor and trader.
I’m starting over, I’m excited. I had to show the most high gratitude first, forgive myself for the mistakes and claim my 2022 as a great financial year!😊❤️
I've experienced a great deal of heartache and embarrassment for my financial mistakes. I have no one to blame, and you've encouraged me start over. That's what I must do. I'm sure I can draw more strength from your works. Thanks a lot.
Yes I had to start over on my saving account. So emergencies happened and I bought a lot of courses that ai wish I wouldn't have bought. So I learned that I was impulsive and I have to pause before I buy
Not starting over but in starting this new year definitely revisiting my immediate, short term and long goals after getting a small raise! I will be creating a budget, putting my goals on my vision board that I see every day for daily reminders and yearly goals, as well as consistently checking my bank account weekly and setting several "No Spend" challenges this year. While a lot of terrible things have happened during the pandemic, one good outlook for me is that I spend a lot less since I am at home so much more often! No more expensive Uber/Lyfts to dinner or drinks with friends, and eating out $20-$30 for one meal, or happy hour drinks a few times a month! All that adds up. Putting all that money into my savings, and Facetiming with a glass of wine, reading, or watching movies in a watch party instead.
Oh! I'm so glad I found you! Things are desperate here, but I am encouraged by your expertise and forgiveness approach. Thank you! I'll be reading all your helps! Grateful from Elizabeth, Illinois 😃
Being able to forgive yourself for poor money choices or habits can be hard but it's ultimately liberating. Having done it, drawn a line & moved on, I've come up with my own financial plan & have taken the massive (for me) step of setting up a TH-cam channel based around cash stuffing, budgeting & debt pay off. Whilst it absolutely terrifies me to do it, I know that it will help me to hold myself accountable & motivate me to succeed.
I'm 65 years young 🌱 saving is one of the most challenging thing for me. With a limited fits income, getting a part time job is one of my goals. Yes I'm starting over please help me.
This is a thoughtful piece and I must say that your genuineness has earned some great points. I will put your words to work and see where I can get to by the 1st half of this year. Thank you for all you do.
Hi I started following years ago when you're just starting out did not keep it up and I'm paying for that now, I should be enjoying life now. It's my own doing I'm taking complete responsibilitiy for my situation. I'm ready to get on track and get the tools to learn and implement a new mindset.
Thank you so much for offering this advice. Forgiving myself is the perfect lace to start, learn from my mistakes and move forward. ** I’m not always sure where I’ve made mistakes “blind spots “. Can you suggest a good way to really understand where I went wrong? ** I’m also grateful for all of the free courses. It gives me hope just finding you!
Forgiving yourself myself is hard..I want to move forward but continue you look back and what if myself to death...its exhausting and keeps me stunted.. It's definitely time for a new mindset. I am going to hold on to Gratitude.
You are a voice or reason, really grateful your alive. Loved this video, have watched many others but this one really resonated with me. I am going to be a lot more interactive. You have sound principles and the right attitude.
OMG this spoke volumes to me the self sabotage. I completed real estate school back in July 2021 and have not scheduled my exam due to fear if failure. I'm on it 2022 is my year 🙂!!
Thank you for your videos and website. I need to forgive myself and start doing a budget Money Plan and stick to it. I’m a single woman so I need to figure the right budget and I have started a side hustle business because I don’t make enough. I also got to track my spending and set some financial goals. I want to retire in three to five years but working on doing it in three hopefully.
December got me, if you haven’t already a holiday budget would be great. I did one but the holiday guilt, and “it’s the end of the year” made me lose focus and self sabotage. Thank you
This is very good advice. I am understanding where I am now. I need to have emergency savings, want to invest in I bonds and increase my credit score. Thanks for the great advice. I will check out more of your videos and website.
I've got a part time job but its hard to stay motivated to work, after working my full time job. I'm hard on myself for my mistakes and not feeling competent with my finances.
Hi Bola, thank you for this video and happy new year for 2022. I have $10,000 in disposable income and would like to invest the funds long-term to benefit my 13 year old son. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again and continue uplifting our community.
Start with looking at your income versus your expenses. Write down everything you spent last month and everything that came into your account last month. Then see where you have spent the most unnecessarily and see if you can cut that down in future months. Then try writing a budget x
What steps are you taking to improve your finances? Share in the comments and thanks for tuning in!!
