Some games that should have been on the ps classic was the persona 2 duology lot of people bought an ps vita just to play persona 4 golden, imagine how many people would have bought the ps classic if it had the 3 persona games that you cannot play on any modern platform (without emulation) AND the possibility to release the innocent sin ps1 version officially on the US
Great list my Canadian brother! I was duped into pre-ordering the PS1 classic so I paid $150 when it launched. (facepalm!!) So happy to be able to add my own games and make it the killer good mini console it should have been. Alone in the Dark The New Nightmare is definitely a hidden gem: Excellent choice! A shame it came out at the end of the ps1 life cycle and the ps2 version didn't get a NA release so it flew under the radar (And/or it was written it off as a cheap RE clone). Bottom line is: It's an excellent horror title.
Sucks about the pre-order. But, like you said, it is an easy hack to add more games, so it's not a total loss. I haven't gotten back to Alone in the Dark yet, but now that you mention it is a hidden gem, I will be getting to it later today. Have a great day!
I considered both RE2 and RE3. The problem is that I didn't think I would actually play them because I have the remakes for both. But, I did expect to get that in the comments as games missed. 😀
