Y’all realize the Layla trilogy was a pseudo Ezio-esque storyline of building a creed where there was none. All were known under different names as they had different languages and reasons. The whole point of creed is that the idea lasts longer than the man and a very unpopular opinion; the last 3 games showed that very well. Every creed game serves a purpose, this one gave you dialogue options and consequences to test your mental capability to be a leader. Y’all might see it one day, maybe not. Everyone has their own opinion and that’s fine, just thought I’d add my own perspective.

It is interesting to know that Assassins, or the correct pronunciation of Hashashins, have existed in history and have Iranian roots. And Ubisoft has publicly stolen history from Iran and never announced it anywhere, I hope it will announce the facts in this game.

@@aminalmadani2056 I personally loved AC3, Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate. The variety of each kept things fresh and new which is important in a multi game franchise as expansive as Assassin’s Creed has become. For me it started going downhill when they went full open world and their emphasis was more on leveling up as a battlefield warrior first and foremost whereas parkouring, striking from the shadows, and then ending a chapter with a complex assassination became more of an afterthought with these latest three entries. Mirage appears to be expanding on what those games did very well and so it’s exciting to see the franchise returning to it’s AC roots.
@@aminalmadani2056 Gotcha! I would highly recommend Unity and Syndicate then. They are both similar but Unity’s Parkour is next level. Looks like it’s going back to the original gameplay! I HOPE!!! I gave up on the franchise after being a die hard fan. It didn’t feel like Assassins Creed anymore.
I've come to like Basim's character in Valhalla as time went by. Specially when he forgave Eivor after he found out that Eivor had resisted Odin. I also find it tragic that the Basim we met in Valhalla wasn't actually the real Basim, but was already Loki all along (I could be wrong about that, please feel free to correct me if I am). I'm excited for this one, and am hoping we would see the real Basim, and how he slowly becomes Loki as the story progresses.
All I hope for is that they come back to the obligatory stealth mission, I'm down to have some of the RPG elements of the last trilogy like some level of customization, maybe like you specialize in range stealth, on poisoning targets or maybe on blending with the bad guys to get close and such, but ultimately the last games became nice RPGs with some elements that talked about gods of that culture that were real. I expect them to shrink the map but make it more rewarding in terms of things that are actually tied to the main story or the precursor's story line instead of a bunch of collectibles and 2-minute stories, based on other stories mostly as well, that only rewarded you with a type of equipment that you don't use in the best case or just a skill point mostly. I remember that mission in AC3 where part of the tribe was kidnapped by a Templar and you had to stealth your way up the hill without being detected within like 2 minutes or they bad guy would kill them all, if you were detected they would get killed and you would loose, if you did not make it in time they would be killed and you would loose. Or those missions were you would have to follow someone without being detected to find information and you would loose if you were detected and not having a cut sense were you always threaten them for information, it made sense as well, you wouldn't want to alert a whole camp or target that there is a guy trying to find them where in real life the bad guys would know they are being tracked and flee or make sure to cover their tracks. That to me is what's missing lately, just that need to make a plan, follow people, eavesdrop and just have stakes in being detected rather than just forcing your way through everyting and killing indiscriminately without any effect on the history. Basically just following the whole "work in the dark". I mean even Bassim states on Valhalla that they can be great fighters to escape, so you can still have a great action sequence, but most importantly is making sure you know your target and know how to get to the it silently to make sure you kill it then you can deal with the aftermath. Crossing fingers they can take the best elements from both styles and making them work. Otherwise Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are good RPGs on historical settings, but you can take the assassin's story line and the game would work just as well. Make it their own thing.

I love the AC franchise. The story lines, the insane attention to detail, the incredible amount of research they put into the games. I am playing Odyssey now, and even thought the game is painfully frustrating at times, it is still outstanding. I would really love to see a more modern take, though - just imagine an AC game set into WW2 - Either in Germany, or even Japan! And one thing that is super cool about the recent games are the tours! I am a bit of a history nerd, so I kinda think that just the tours and exploration would be a game on their own!
modern times will never happen. . they dont seem to want guns involved. . . muskets and flintlocks are the most modern tech we've ever really gotten. . . itd be way to different of a game if you added guns proper
There is an older game similar to assasins creed which is set in WW2 Paris called The Saboteur. It plays very similarly, climbing houses, stealth kills, switching disguises. Really fun and the atmosphere is amazing. Recommend you check it out

After many years perhaps this game will be a game that I can call "Assassin's Creed". Already the trailer is excellent in here it shows that they are really back to basics especially the part where Ezio's Family is in the background. I hope it exceeded my expectations
if the main character is as charismatic as ezio was it'll be good, but i doubt it. the main character will likely be a stronk wahmen who don't need no man and is always dogging on the men around her to show just how stronk she is....lolol. this game is gonna be shit just like amazon's rings of power.
Looks promising. lets see what they will deliver in the end. Personally i am really hoping they are back to the roots. I was pondering about AC and the development it took in the last games. I missed the old, more guided experience of AC like in the first 5 or 6 parts. They were straight forward and had that special charm that makes AC for me what AC is. You are told a really great story and have a rather limited set of tools to unlock it. That whole massive inventory thing was a wrong turn imho. I want a hidden blade, i want 1-hit-kills and an overpowered altair-style assassin that can counter every attack and has to use a shieldbreaker for the bigger ones. everything else is just watering down AC.
@@hannibalburgers477 Yet... you obviously are a fan of at least one of their gameseries. I thinkt they did a pretty good job. They didnt hestitate to "sail to new shores to fail the invasion and return to their homestead as broken, humiliated warriors". Well... it takes quite something to go that route, doesnt it? And I think in all honesty that the whole AC thing is great. As a Player since day one i think i can admit that there have been features in every game, that i liked and some i did not. But by adding and changing things they have created everything i would like to see in a "AC Community Edition". The Idea of that is simple ennough. At least with a little understanding about the open source world. please put the rocks back on the ground. I am well aware, that ubisoft games are quite the opposite of what the concept open source describes. The Concept i have in mind is to make it like a modular game. Let say you really like the syndicate story but you miss the hidden blade and the one hit kills. Why not let the user add it. Why not give those players that would otherwise perhaps not play the game a way to make it an "individually perfect" game which has all the things the player loves? I think that it could be done. But i cant tell. I dont have the sources to read and check if thats even close to realistic from the technical side. To see a "Quest editor" in Odysee was something that i was absolutly cheering for and still do. It was probably one of THE best Ideas they ever had. And this is exactly whiy i am even coming up with such an idea. My conclusion is: lets just lean back and wait and see. Ubisoft is always good for a surprise. Not always a good one - admitted - but still... XD
Completely agree with you , that's excatly what I want from the AC , the old school skill , hidden-blade , 1-hit-kills , counter every attack. I dislike the world of warcraft type of AC game. Sick of level up , skill points , and too many items.
@@davidhsueh8835 too many items. That´s the point. If you spent more time in your inventory than killing something, it definitely is not Assassins Creed. The skill system was ok. Pretty balanced at least in Odysee. I like the diversity if it comes to the skills and also to the weapons. But there is a certain ratio of "time in game to time in game in inventory" which can drastically reduce the amount of fun during gameplay. If you want to collect, trade and put bling on your gun ... well perhaps AC is not the right game for that or it needs an "rpg, strategy, ressource management, economy sim, stronghold-type"-branch. That is fun too. It is just not what i expect from AC.
AC is my favorite collection of games no matter how good or bad they are i will always buy the new one to come out.

In the réal ending of valhalla basim said him and loki are grateful of heetche other
Basim was already badass in Valhalla, I can't wait to see his origin lol
Considering how different the past 4 or so games have been to the originals, this one brings back that hype! Genuinely looking forward to this one.
it was many-many assassins creeds ago since I got chills just from the trailer... nice one, maybe this time the game will be nice too... maybe...
Otherwise Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla
are good RPGs on historical settings, but you can take the assassin's story line and the game would work just as well. Make it their own thing.
I love both the og assassins creeds and the RPGs and this looks sick. Cant wait for the release!

Eu sou o comentário brasileiro que você procura, haha. Finalmente o assassin's creed vai voltar a ser assassin's creed, ansioso pela estreia.
This is ubisoft we are talking about. Of course it wont
Not to mention the newer ones are so grindy
The Ezio theme at last got me goosebumps fr🥵
AC is my favorite collection of games no matter how good or bad they are i will always buy the new one to come out.
