For the multiplayer - actual online is currently not likely as its a bit too tough for me alone, but you could try Parsec to play with someone remotely :)

I have an idea. In multiplayer, you can do co-op and battle each other and the AI. The winner has to defeat both the other player and the AI. IDK if it would work but it seems cool.
