Also, since comments are good for the youtube algorithm: The video is very well made. The pacing and audio have improved compared to EP2. Thanks for looking into it
great work. i sailed to sea for many years and your port is one of the most thought out i have seen so far. most of the dry docks arent entered in reverse though, that mostly happens in docks for (de)construction rather than maintenance and usually not at all for discharging or taking on new passengers or cargo. obviously, they are harder to steer going backwards so you want to do that when aiming for the big harbour rather than the small dock. offices are also very common in a harbour of this size, all that cargo has a huge paper trail, there would be several shipping companies with an office there as well as storage and transportation companies who store and transfer cargo onto road, rail or other ships. then you will have customs and immigration offices, border control. an extra coastguard pier or station is also common, just like a pilot station. Tug boat station i havent attempted yet because lack of tug boat assets. ships also need utilities when they are in port, they need to take on fresh water and fuel, release blackwater and whatever power you can offer from land was probably produced cleaner than whatever the ships are producing with their generators. i often have a sewage treatment plant close by my harbour, as well as some power production and one or two gas stations for all the service vehicles. parking lots for manufactured vehicles waiting for export are also very common in bigger ports, so you often see a big lot with hundreds of the same vehicle. but if you use regular cars, those are problematic atm because they are basically orphaned cars. the specialized industry vehicles should be ok, i think. but the vehicle factory probably is a build for much later anyways. really enjoyed the video, well made and interesting, you got a new sub. and love the accent.
Glad you enjoyed it! I've literally copied and pasted your comments into my notes for next time, brilliant feedback! If this city makes it past the big update next week, it'll be expanded quite a bit down the coast, and I'll be taking your post into account :) Thank for watching and subbing, it's much appreciated, welcome in.
Wow, my expertations were high, but boy, did you blow it out of the water (dry-dock pun intended :D). Until 20min ago, I didn't know how much I miss the storage assets from the industries DLC of CS1... But seriously, the whole area looks like one, consistent huge mega asset. everything fit so well together. And the numerous identical half-dome warehouses give a distinct military vibe, which matches perfectly into the build. Amazing work my friend :)
Yeah, they look great in the game. Both CS1 and CS2. The industry stuff in CS2 is not great, so anything to give it a bit of interest is good to have. That black warehouse, yeah, you had the same idea as me, got military written all over it. They'll be making an appearance late game for sure 😄
Cheers bud! 😁👍 Don't think there was a way of using them without the full cargo station when I made the video. Not sure if it's possible with find it mod now?
Actually, you can make the railroads work... In Dev mode you can find train stops, that will work as a station without buildings... I don't remember the name tho, but infrastructurist did make a vid on it
Yeah, I've seen bits of that video. I did give it a try but I was getting an error that said "no road network" or something like that. Guess it might be different for cargo rail stops? That said, I didn't watch the full thing so I might have missed something
If you enjoyed the video today, please leave a like and comment. It really helps my little channel get discovered. Thank you as always for watching. 👍

Thanks man. I really do appreciate the feedback as always. 💪
Your voice is incredibly soothing; great OST and build vision too. Keep up the great work 😉
Ah, thanks so much. I really appreciate that bud. 😄👍

A very interesting and such a unique build Piccana!! Love the Ship docks and the Big Warehouse Detailing!!! Keep it up mate.
Ah, cheers man. Appreciate it!
beautiful stuff you really push the limit as to what you can do with cs2. Which isn't much at the moment
Thanks very much! Rally appreciate the compliment. The game's getting there slowly. Once we have assets we'll be flying 😁

wow im seriously impressed well done
Cheers Sonny, I appreciate it bud 😊💪
I like your videos! Love the intersections tutorials! Well done! Any chance you are from Scotland ? :D
Thank very much! Appreciated mate. Yeah, Irish born, but lived in Scotland all my life pretty much 😁
Fantastic build, but the shipyard needs some cranes for building and repairing the ships. Maybe the orange cargotrain crane could be used?
Cheers bud! 😁👍 Don't think there was a way of using them without the full cargo station when I made the video. Not sure if it's possible with find it mod now?

Great stuff gj
Cheers Arthur. 😁👍
Very nice!
But the build is too gray/white, i mean some color variation would do it justice.
Cheers bud. I'll try and get more colour in when I expand this area 👍
👌
Thank you! 😊
Красота 🤩
Cheers, it's a bit of a mess now that area. It'll be getting a face lift tonight :)
