Such mastery of the 4 hands technique takes years of practice and dedication. The end result is that the two pairs of hands blend so seamlessly that if you shut your eyes and listen without watching the video, you'd think it was only one pianist playing. Bravo.
That was superbly magnificent, and such a 'day brightener' for my TH-cam research today. A true pot of gold. The concentration in the faces was priceless, as that piece is tremendously challenging for individual orchestra players (and conductor), and here they did it with four hands. Two sisters whose hearts must have beating as one to keep that together. Kudos in a BIG way!!!
In a lot of ways this version is better than the original, you can hear all the harmonies and flute runs so much more clearly. And you two really play the crap out of it! Wow. The only thing that lacks in this version is the sustain of the chords, particularly toward the end. I'd love to hear you guys play this on a pipe organ!!
To beautiful for this to bother with this piece of shit world we live in rn……!!!!!!…….!! Like how y’all just jump in the music and gone with it …. “Let me” try and I could only play the left half without a partner smh
@@ghoshneh ok. I guess you got me all figured out..... except I was replying to D Santos to write a better arrangement since he thinks this one is poor.
I must have watched this over 100 times by now. Intoxicating playing.
It’s so cool how different they seem from each other while performing. This is such a great recording

LOVE IT! Very cool arrangement, but it's just not the same without the woodblock....
Need a laughing emoji here!
And the snare rim shots are sorely missed.
That woodblock holds the entire orchestra together.
Yeah would be fun adding a third person just doing the woodblock while the pianists are doing all the hard work
@@teinvanderlugt1 nah, that woodblock part is prolly honestly the hardest part of the woodblock players career ngl 😂
Seems I can't get enough of this performance, have kept coming back here!!
This is as much about the performance as it is about the music. Both amazing.

Wow! 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏
I wonder if Mr. Adams has seen this video yet...
great
works even better on the piano than for full orchestra
And so you thought Carl Orff found an easy way to make a living.

Amazing performance, poor arrangement
John Adams himself kinda endorsed the arrangement by publishing this on Facebook, he would not have done this otherwise.
Cool. Write a better one.

@@benjaminwehtje7354 My apologies, I don't know what happened, my replies meant to be directed at Diogo, not you. Sorry again.
@@ghoshneh I literally bought this sheet music the day I saw this 🤪
The lighting director should be fired.
Brilliant piece... and you manage to find a negative 🤔
Well, lights are a bit bland, à la "60 minutes". They surey aren't outstanding but not that awful either.
Noise
You mean *click* noice
What the heck!! These two butchered this amazing incredible masterpiece!!
Fax, poor woodblock 😢
