In my humble opinion, if you have a lot of money, do not belittle yourself and live the life of the wealthy, but without extravagance. I believe that some things do not make any difference whether they are original or imitation, but when it comes to the quality of use, the difference is clear and tangible. another great video! I am visiting Thailand regularly since 1998 ! and what make the difference to compare to before is the exchange rate! Early 2000 , changing Euro was THE deal... now.... not anymore!

Regarding clothing I find some of the copy t shirts are good and last quite well. Food- yes some crazy prices for the same things. I find 40-100tb dishes most of the time is better than more pricey restaurants 😅

Iam visting bangkok through this last week and ican say that the price isint cheap anyway except for hotel maybe. ....the price is really expensive here in bangkok but there is alot of styles and design and brand and many cloth is designer cloth

I've been coming to Bangkok every year for the last 14 years, and I still don't buy name brand when I'm there. Living in Canada, we get products much cheaper than in Bangkok, plus we also have sales usually up to 50% off the lowest sale price. 90% off the products I can buy in Thailand, I can by for much cheaper here in Canada. Now if we are talking about food, then Thailand is MUCH cheaper and better!

I have bought a fake Rayban glasses for 150 baht back in 09. After 3 days, the lens started scratching with a 2 in streaks while I was wiping the lens. After that i never bought fake products anymore lol

I lose hats too easy, so I buy a few at a time of my favorite knock offs and don't worry anymore. Brought some of the best polo brand shirts there on the street for $3 ea in 04, such great quality still. Those store prices are for those that like to throw $ away, though definitely depends on what it is. A massage a day keeps the blues away ! That's what it's about,the lodging, food and massages prices, and smiles,is why I love the country. Safety too, for the most part.

I LIKE to eat in air-conditioned mall food courts for casual meals if the weather is hot or humid. But Bangkok has many open air markets and street stalls. No such thing as the best market, it's the vendor your buying from. When the vendor your buying meals from and they get to know you they go the Extra mile to look after you to keep you comming back. Sitting on a shaky stool and you meal being cooked by some old granny who puts her heart and sole and treats you like her family in Bangkok thriving community. Is really what Thailand is about.
