I disagree with your statement. Do you have much experience using a Bushman Axe? I have one and it's actually a pretty good cutter. Comparing the Bushman to the Forester's Fine Axe, the Bushman is thick towards the eye but is quite thin near the edge while the Forester's Fine Axe is fairly thick near the edge. Also, the head of the Bushman is heavier.
I have used the 176 and the 178(bushman and foresters fine axe) These are 2 completely different axes compared to another. SOLD my foresters fine axe but wil keep my les stroud one. Its a better splitter, and overall i like the thicker handle. And i have the 1st generation and never had any problems with a rolled edge or loose head. I now there is a great hype of wetterlings an people are paying a load of money now
why even compare these? they are desighned for diferant purposes .
Its the only axe I had.
Your comparing chalk and cheese here brother, the Bushman is crap at cutting compared to the foresters fine axe or GB small forest axe!
