My opinion. Mr. Phani Ramachandra is a big LIAR. WHY? 3 reasons.
1) He never got offers later because all his movies after Ganeshana Madhuvey and Gowri Ganesha were unsuccessful, including Annavra Makkallu, which was a flop.
2) No South Indian movie director will refuse a Tamil movie offer. Mr. Phani Ramachandra gave flimsy reasons like Madras hot climate as a reason for not accepting Tamil movie offers. Simply rubbish. I doubt if he even got an offer to direct a Tamil movie.
3) Mr. Phani Ramachandra boasted about not remaking movies. He also boasted about showing a comedy clip to Dr. Rajkumar. That comedy clip was copied from a 1964 Tamil movie - Kaadhalikka Neramillai, featuring Nagesh and Baalayya.

I watched both the scenes, Kaadhalikka Neramillai th-cam.com/video/4IjW7cojPRs/w-d-xo.html and Ganesha Subramanya th-cam.com/video/i4EP-4dOnho/w-d-xo.html. I can clearly see how dull it is in Kaadhalikka Neramillai and how effective it is in Ganesha Subramanya. Mukhya Mantri Chandru sir performance is awesome. In Ganesha Subramanya scene they have used real sounds. There are story telling scenes in many movies. If you say it's a copy, that shows your intellect level.
