  • Subscribe: bit.ly/2ISqPTj Episode 2 of How To Skate Transition! This time I'm breaking down how to do a Blunt Fakie. This trick starts with learning how to Rock Fakie, and Pivot Fakie first in my opinion; this process will make Blunt Fakie's a lot easier.
    I'm still not sure what to call this series, I need your feedback!

    What trick should I do next!?! Also, what do you guys think about naming this series "My Perspective" something along those lines?

    • @trueskatewithsam5275
      @trueskatewithsam5275 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My perspective is a great one because there no one way to do, or learn the trick. So the title would be saying imo that this my perspective on how to learn this trick. Great video thank you for sharing the knowledge.

    Love your videos Zack. Suggestion for a future episode: No-comply on transitions, like no comply to tail-stall, etc.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I was thinking about no-comply tailslide/disaster/etc good idea thanks dude!

      Yes pls do this I tried this I end up doing a no comply nosegrab to tail stall

  • @gavinbander5
    @gavinbander5 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A suggestion for trick tips would be a 5-0 stall on quarter pipe/mini. I say stall because once you get stalls it should be easier to grind. At least that worked with 50-50s. Also maybe boardslide a downrail? There’s a downrail at my local and I really want to boardslide it, but I bail each time and can’t commit. Great video man!

    • @ZackDowdy

      Thanks dude! 5-0/Pivot is a good idea!

    Watching your back foot is so sick on the blunt fakies. It starts off more in the pocket rolling up, then you move to land it on that lil bit of tail sticking out to get the pop out

    When I learned pivot fakies in the 90's and didn't have any internet or whatever I used to pivot right on top of the coping then back in and man I ate it bad a few times lol!

    just built a 2ft quarter with 5ft radius. its harder than i thought it was going to be but im learning my backside pivots, frontside is alot harder. havent gotten my rock to fakie yet. but noticed speed is key to really controlling your tricks. i keep wanting to ollie everything instead of just rolling up and using the ramp. how do you get out of the habit? 20yr street skater that has only dropped in before. love the tips

    great series man. i learned about your channel from your diy tutorials, great to see these trick tips. question: do you ever do the thing where you sort of ollie into the blunt on the transition? any thoughts on that?

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suck at that! I've seen people do it so good, it seems like you have to ollie low-to-high type of situation. I should try that, thank you for the feedback!
