Grandma is from where I was born and raised. Both of my parents were also born here. My dad was born in 1938 and passed on last year and I loved hearing his stories about how things useful to be. It’s very enlightening and important to know your past.

Morgan is correct Gullah people are descendants of African slaves, the Red rice is very much like jallof or benachin originating from Senegal and Gambia, South Carolina and also Brazil Cuisine are heavily influenced by African ancestors 💕
