If you had all the supplies that you want, it would clog up your creativity. I always told my children it’s better to have not quite enough than to have too much. Did they believe me? I don’t think so but I’ve found it true. Natasha! You are coming up on a very amazing number. I’m excited for you.
When I first started crafting I saw many people say the same about having too many supplies. It has stuck with me since I started in 2020 and I've been careful not to buy too many craft products.
I love how you show us how to use our supplies without spending a fortune and that we don’t have to rush out to buy the latest products. Thank you Natasha 😘🇬🇧
I love that you have a budget! It can get a bit sickening to watch people making cards who have everything under the sun, knowing you can't afford it all yourself x
Actually, some popular paper crafting content producers are GIVEN the products in return for use in their vids to boost sales. They have everything "under the sun" without having to purchase. Kind of like what Amazon sellers do in return for an honest review. Natasha pays out of pocket for her stuff!
Would you tell me please what the wood look base is that you are working on? I’m starting to see several people using them, with all sorts of paints, markers etc. I’m wondering if it’s some type of glass? Lovely to be able to watch a fellow Kiwi sharing such great videos. Soon to be a thousand! Congratulations.
What a great geometric card! That would also work well for a masculine card using good masculine colour combinations with a shadow word die in the middle. I think I need to explore that technique! Thanks Natasha 😊❤
This is the first I am hearing of the retiform technique. I loved it! As far the floral stamp, I would do it either way. If you were to do it on the left edge of the card I would show half of it. I saw a tree done that way (half the trunk). That was stunning! Now I will search for the original technique. Another technique to add to my repertoire. Thank you again for a great video.💜😊
One of my favorite techniques is to tape off the edges, add colors, and then stamp, sometimes with the tape in place, other times with it removed. It's such an easy technique and produces very "artsy" results. Great video!
Natasha, I just caught up on your videos. This card is absolutely stunning. I appreciate your hard work and efforts in creating to share with us viewers… it doesn’t go unnoticed! Thank you again for sharing your visions and inspiration in creating these beautiful projects.
This is beautiful. I don't have onks, but can imagine this would work with watercolours or water soluble pencils too. I will give it a go. Thanks Natasha!
I tried this technique and to my surprise (because I am a beginner) it worked a treat. Not as good as yours I might add, but a respectable outcome nonetheless. Very happy! Thanks Natasha for your inspo. ❤
Another card with very simple supplies. I adore these. I do like stamping off the focal and onto the white base. It looks very professional. Thanks so much ♥️
There's another equally as old technique I like, too, which involves a transparency. I don't remember a name for it. You "paint" on the back of a piece of transparency (the non-shiny side) with a mix of mica powder (like pearl x or perfect pearls) and a glue (I always used glossy accents) and allow to dry. You should still be able to sort of see through the transparency. The "paint" can have a sort of dry brush effect, too, as it should be translucent when it dries, not opaque. Then, in black permanent ink (I use staz-on but archival might work?) CAREFULLY stamp on front, shiny side, a fairly thick lined image with open areas and allow to dry. Using one of today's stamp positioners will make this step MUCH easier! The transparency made the stamp slide on it and you'd have to wipe off and try again! Then, crop transparency to fit around your image and mount on your card with layers of colored papers cut and mounted as you see fit. You can get gorgeous outcomes depending on the colors you chose, with shiny effects from the acetate. Some ppl used heat resistant transparency and embossed image in a metallic color instead. TFS!

I totally agree @nancyskinner5207, it took me years to realize that. Natasha what a lovely card - love the uniqueness of the background.

Dealing with that right now. For years, HSN got me good. Stopped buying a yr ago, need to dig out from under

This is a really nice card! I like that you used only one large stamp. It reduces the amount of work than if you had used many small stamps.

Super cute!!!! I don't know how you manage to do all that and not get ink on your hands!! LOL!😄
That is so beautiful.
My new favorite saying: "In my head it makes sense." 😅😅
