Probably the 747 was chosen as first, the 777X still needs time to be delivered and the 747-8 is available almost right away, and the second, I don’t know how large the equipment used on the VC-25B is, maybe the whole upper deck will be taken up by e.g. telecommunication systems and others
I think the Canadian government might purchase it to replace their current Airbus 310 fleet by 2026. Not defiantly but probably. The other would be government of Gulf Arab states.
Its nice but there is no cargo ramp to drive on my Bugatti collection. I guess I'll be going for a 747-f conversion, that plane does have a drive on ramp for a Bugatti... I wonder if Boeing would sell a C-17 for conversion?
Private jets tend to often fly to smaller airports, which usually don't have infrastructure necessary to support A380 - so it doesn't fit this role, even if you disregard fuel cost.
