Railfanning at Cary, NC: Piedmont P075-24 with the new Push & Pull system

Today my brother and I decided to go to the Amtrak station in Cary, since I've never been there before. When we went to Platform A (They have two platforms, Platform A is for Piedmont and Carolinian. Platform B is for Silver Star) I set up near the front of the station to get a good shot of P075 coming in, but a guy named Evan, who takes video footage with a Sony 4K Camcorder (Camcorders you would see that TV show and stuff use) came to the platform past me and set up his shot. About 2 minutes later he walked up to me and introduced himself to me and asked if I could set up where he was to have a good area shot of the train coming in. I said sure and set up right behind him. As we waited, over in Raleigh where PO75-24 was to depart to its first stop, it had traction issues, meaning we waited for nearly an hour for it. It finally got clearance to leave Raleigh and sure enough, 7 minutes later, the gates went down and we could hear 1755's K5LA, blaring through the crossing. I decided to set up right in front of it since this was my first time seeing a F59phi then I realized if I walked across the street behind me (which is a busy street and the gates were on both sides so nobody can go around them) I could get a good shot of it departing and a perfect speeding away shot. So I did that and it departed about 2 minutes after I set back up again. That K5LA was certainly something and a squealer XD. The engineer was kind enough to give me a small hornshow going through the crossing. It speed away with 1859 trailing it. It was certainly worth waiting an hour. Thank you Carter! Tried railfanning in Selma again from 7:45pm-8:40pm. Got nothing then had to go because my bro had work to do. 10-15, Silver Star P091, CSX Q141, and NS E51 passed through because I heard 3 trains being cleared through Selma-Smithfield. So close :'(

Great Video. One reason why they doing push/pull because of the construction of Raleigh Union Station and the place they back their trains up can't be used, which is Raleigh Wye. I would be like this anyway when they get their Cab Control Units gets delivered.

Are all the Station Platforms at all Piedmont Stations restricted to ticketed passengers only? At what stations do they check tickets prior to going on to the platform? At which stations can a non-ticketed passenger observe the trains?
I don't think so because I hung out on the platform for over an hour. And that I'm not sure about

so they just let you on the platforms at stations without checking tickets at the platform entrance and denying entry to non-ticketed passengers?
As long as you don't bother anybody, they don't seem to mind

Thank you Eric! I think but I'm not sure. Probably since Platform B on the opposite side of the station is for Silver Star, so it would make sense that NS, CSX, and such run on that, but then again I could be wrong
The other amtrak that uses track 1 is the carolinian
