A number of Falcom's tracks mix up the lead instruments mid-track. One of the things I appreciate most about their music is that most tracks have a pretty decent-length loop.
Tokyo Xanadu is a really fun game. I enjoyed the gameplay. The storyline was pretty good. Plus the music was catchy. This series has a lovable cast of characters. One of my favorite JRPG games of all time. I like how it reminded me of Persona and a Tales of series game.
I agree. 😊 I’ve been playing it cuz it was only $5 on PSN, and I had too hard a time with P5, but still wanted a good anime RPG experience after not really having one in a long time (aside from Pokémon), and mostly playing different genres of games. 😛
@sergio kelyimporta I haven't played SMT yet, but having played Persona 4, the combat is as conservative and bland as turn-based gameplay can possibly be. The only thing I can think of that feels like more of a chore than clearing a dungeon in that game is dealing with random encounters in the more old-fashioned RPGs. It does an exceptional job at leveraging its strengths, however, but of the Falcom games I've tried (Sky FC, Cold Steel, Tokyo Xanadu, and Ys VIII and IX), _all_ of them are more fun as an _RPG_ than Persona 4, but of course Persona is the dating sim of all dating sims.
Nihon Falcom’s sound team puts out some bangers for sure, I was hooked immediately since Cold Steel 1 and it’s memorable music. You can tell it’s the same sound team that composed Tokyo Xanadu’s music.
i love the how the most dominant instrument keeps changing. its so good. like when the piano takes over, or the trumpet.

Persona has lost its touch after 4…falcom
Takes times for their themes to fit every aspect right.
