My grandsons pediatrician told my son and his wife this ..the strands spiral out from the head head. To handle the hair it must be cut short or opt to straighten the strands as was done for this pretty lady. Since this is an extremely rare condition this beautician may not have heard or been taught about it. She shouldn't dye her hair and it needs to be trimmed. He chose the best to control it for the day and she looks really nice. Hopefully someone will tell him of his so if she comes back he will have learned more to work with her. I think he will be surprised
Amazing how straight her hair went using a blow dryer. I would ask for a trim though after noticing the ends, even though it wouldn’t be noticed when her hair goes back to normal.
I agree with curly hair the less heat the better she needs some deep conditioner treatments never blowout a natural strips all oil in her hair I use a hairdryer with brush attached to smooth my hair after it drys naturally also use curl serum to protect hair from heat
Too bad this client didn't go for a color correction, deep condition & keratin treatment! Blow dryers, flat irons, etc. can further damage the hair- as you well know!

Needed hair trimmed I am surprised the stylist did recommend a trim not cut but trim! It would have made her flow a lot better
