- Celebrated my son’s 6th birthday with a delicious feast! Baked two chocolate cakes, one with a special photo surprise and another one topped with lots of ganache. And to satisfy everyone’s hunger, I made a big batch of flavorful Veg Hakka Noodles. Do watch this video to understand what challenges I faced while making food in such a large quantity!
INGREDIENTS
Chocolate Cake Base:
2 Cup All Purpose Flour/मैदा
6 Tbsp Cocoa Powder/कोको पाउडर
2 Tsp Baking Powder/बेकिंग पाउडर
3/4 Tsp Baking Soda/बेकिंग सोडा
1 Cup Curd/दही
1/2 Cup Milk/दूध
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence/वैनिला एसेंस
1/2 Cup Oil/तेल
1 & 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar/पीसी हुई चीनी
1/4 Cup Milk/दूध
Photo Cake:
1 Cup Whipping Cream/वीपिंग क्रीम
5-6 Drops Purple Food Color/पर्पल रंग

Chocolate Ganache Cake:
250 gm Whipping Cream/वीपिंग क्रीम
500 gm Dark Compound/डार्क कंपाउंड
Hakka Noodles:
9 Packets of 140gm Each Hakka Noodles (हक्का नूडल्स)
1/2 Kg Carrot/गाजर
750 gm Cabbage/पत्तागोभी
300 gm Capsicum/शिमला मिर्च
1/2 Kg Onion/प्याज़
3/4 Cup Garlic/लहसुन
15 Tsp Salt/नमक
4 & 1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder/मिर्च पाउडर
1 Tsp Black Pepper/काली मिर्च
9 Tbsp Soy Sauce/सोया सॉस
180-200 ml Oil/तेल

Noodles, juice, 2 cakes, 1 piñata ismein ho gaya sabka... Kafi quantity mein the. Bachhe khate nahi, jhutha chhod dete hain, isliye maine ek hi item banaya
Mam can I skip cabbage as we don't eat cabbage and for boiling noodles can I mix oil in the water so that it would be non sticky
You can skip cabbage, adding oil in water will not help to make the noodles non-sticky here. The oil will get drained.

Yes, I cooked them with tap water. We stay in a township and get good potable water. Though we don't drink it directly, it's suitable for cooking. We have checked the TDS as well, it's low.

Even I had arranged a 6th birthday party for my daughter, around 25 ppl.
The menu was burger, nachos, mini idli, chocolate dipped strawberries in sticks, all made at home.
Chips, rasgulla and cake were store bought.
For munching during the games, I had arranged popcorn in paper cups, tang, jelly and chocolate cookies on the table, so anyone can pick as per their wish. All the kids n elders enjoyed thoroughly.
Took lot of work, but end result was very satisfying 😊
Need atleast 2-3 choices, can't keep just 1 food item.

The people in my circle are very simple. The menu was enough for them and the kids. The kids enjoyed the noodles, juice, chocolates and 3 types of cakes. They were very much full in that and did not need anything else. I'm glad I'm surrounded by such people who don't need 2-3 choices and I can keep 1 food item like noodles in this case ☺️

I had even had b'day parties with no meals, just cake and chips and drink. Or sometimes even no cake..
The Idea is to have fun and make memories.
