Great video! I have an Axios level 7 too, but it’s Climashield 3.6 oz. Very nice jacket, but I found myself preferring either my Wild Things (6oz Primoloft Sport) for its robustness or Tennier (6oz Climashield) simply because of its larger fit, allowing me to layer with more dead air space than Beyond’s. All three are large in size and I’m a 44” chest at 5’10. Curious if you prefer the Beyond version and why.
@@nathankelley6438 you’re right it is Climashield APEX. I always get that and Primaloft mixed up since most things I have are Primaloft. I quite like the beyond clothing one. Its compatibility to fit over kit and such is a good bonus. It also beats the standard L7 stuff. I just have this because it was one of the only level 7’s I’ve used. It does have its quirks though. The Wild Things line is definitely out performing these older gen parkas. But hopefully beyond redoes these to make them more compatible with layering systems. I think they assumed that if you’re just running a complete system of their L1-L7 you won’t need as much of the insulation as other systems. Which might be true for activities sake.
@@TheReenactorsGuideHave you tried the CTAPS yet? I’m giving the L7 option (Over the old PCU L5’s & L3’s + L2’s) a run near Lake Placid this coming weekend, but I’m afraid the weather won’t be cold enough to truly push the system and see if it’s a worthwhile replacement.
@ I don’t have any CTAPs just a lost arrow nano-air jacket so no way to test that system yet as it’s not widely avail. I typically do 46r’s and smaller mountains in my layering systems to test them out. If you’re in LP, I live in Lake Clear.
@ Lost Arrow? Soooo jelly! I’m originally from around the Saratoga area, but am in Tampa Bay now, so I only get up there every 3 months to do multi-days. Keep doing the reviews! There really isn’t a lot of in depth information on these products like you’ve shown here and I’m sure I’m not the only one that appreciates it! Hopefully these comments help your traction with the channel.
Awesome Video!

@ I’m currently working on a script covering Patagonia and its contracts from MARS/PCU to Lost Arrow to Forgeline.
