I always wanted to see Kitty in her goofy outfit she made for herself with the long striped socks and roller skates. Hopefully the X-Men 97 series will include stuff like this. Then there might be a bigger audience for old school Claremont designs.

Robo, you should get one of those big magnifying glass things with a light on it so you don't strain your vision so much.
That's what I was talking about, my magnifiers are awesome. I should have been using them years ago.
I love your obsession with Excalibur accuracy down to even the hair. It makes me feel justified in my obsession with an accurate non-Rebirth Wally West Flash figure existing one day. Love how far you went with getting Kitty's hair right.
That's a great paint job on Danger! We really need a new figure of her if Hasbro are gonna go hard into Astonishing X-Men. Plus... just saying, Ord would make a great build-a-figure. I mean... surely, right? Don't even really love him as a villain, but the villains of that Astonishing run are kind of iconic.
I've been talking about how I'm more easy going with accuracy these days, whether it's customs or official releases, but for some reason I'm still picky with Excalibur and some X-Men types. I guess because they were my main titles as a kid, they are super locked in my brain and just look off if it doesn't match.
I kinda forgot about my custom Ord, mostly because the sculpt is rough and doesn't hold up, I need to redo that some day too. But I would DEFINITELY take a BAF.

Yo instead adding more blue to her try to accent it with some silver. Try to put a silver fade at the points where the light reflects

See, I always thought Cassandra was maybe 5ft tall, like Linda Hunt, as her pith helmet still barely makes her shoulder high.
Add in her thin body, so making her taller seems weird to me.
(Also, *that* scene in Naked Lunch! 😱😂)
My suggestion for Danger is to very lightly dry brush on some metallic blue. It’s a great way to add a metal-ish luster 🦋
Saw Play Day, saw a Wookie. Knew t was only a matter of time.
I similarly used Krennic's legs to give Thrawn proper flared pants.
I ended up using Thrawn's hip joints, dremeling and popping Krennic's legs on to Thrawn's thigh swivel. I'm not sure if that was the best way to do it but worked decently well in the end. I can send a pic on instagram if you want to see the end result! Regardless, make sure you mask the hell out of the boots because its super easy to ruin the boots with a bit of primer overspray.
Those Miss Elizabeth figs warmed pegs here for at least a year. Still kicking myself for not grabbing a couple for fodder. 🙄🤷♂️
I have at least 6-20 projects going at any time and I finally had to start keeping a notebook so every time I have an idea I don’t forget about them.

For Cassandra, maybe wait for the Black Series Tala? It wouldn't address the hip issue necessarily, but the jodhpurs should be less chunky.
I might suggest matting down the shine of that WWE hair on Kitty, and doing some dry brushing, I like what’s going on there

For painting semi translucent things you can use vallejo xpress, army painter speed paints or citadel contrast paints. You might wanna thin them a bit but they're really useful

Hey Robo. How far did you break down the buck for Captain Britain in order to prime everything?
That Shadowcat hair may not be 100% accurate, but I love how it evokes that era of time, a lot of Marvel Legends these days can seem to be a bit more of a 'generic' take on era-specific designs, but that hair does a lot to sell the time period.
Also really like that Thrawn, that was always a cool alternate look. In fact seeing that and having recently been re-watching Andor has me wanting to go and hunt down some of those Imperial Troopers they released, here in the UK they weren't exclusives but they were that higher exclusive price, only now they've been reduced and have been sitting at my local comic shop for ages.
I recognized the Phoenix hair immediately.
Quite an inspired choice for Kitty *(any* Kitty really imo, but especially X-Cal)
@@ThatGenericPyro Oh yeah, it's instantly recognizable. I think it rides the line between capturing the comic art and actual hair pretty well, although I prefer the later option he went with, to me it looks more natural and isn't as distracting since it isn't from another ML figure.

I'm not a massive wrestling fan but that's why I enjoy kitbashing mattel elites. They just work. All the joints and parts are designed for cross compatibility. Want bigger arms, boil n pop. Want shorter? Just grab the shorter thighs and it's an easy switch. At worst you're looking for matching skin tones. I sympathize with your Captain Britain, I really like the Herc buck, but theres a wildly lacking amount of really V shaped comic book super hero body shapes. Omega Red and Bucky Capt are the only ones that achieve that look which is really disappointing. At least we've got Vulcan now and hopefully future new bodies follow suit.
For the Cassandra Nova, I suggest shaving down hip joint crotch so its not so gappy , splitting the hip joint open then see if you can get dumb bell joint to go in oepn hole for the legs, then if you get it fit with legs glue it in place also if any gaps use apoxie sculpt to fill and also use to re sculpt crotch after it was shaved down.
In my opinion you should leave Danger the way you have her

Instead of talking about it. I would love to see the process. It would make it much easier to customize your own figures. How do you drill, how do you find the accurate paint scheme ect.
For your Cassandra figure, try the legs from the GI Joe Snake eyes movie female ninja figure and swap the boots, just an idea 🔪🔪♠️🃏🔪🔪 pew pew
Not criticizing at all, but I have to say the arms on the antman seem way too long proportionally, probably when its posed up its fine but yeah, love your videos tho, not at all having a go, just not sure that arm swap works out too well at least to my eye

Yeah, that's why I didn't have a problem ripping it's arms out. And isn't the two pack version Scott along with Cassie as Stinger? I have that on the shelf already.

Just letting y'all know ollie's has a ton of figures for $9 that are going for $30 on eBay. They have a ton of doc whatever his name is and the spider head guy. They have the big dude from bad batch as well for $15
