Interesting. I was thinking their prowess is in their rhythmic interp. I thought their sound quality was really lacking. Not playing through the drums at all.
Holy cow this is good! I really hope this was before their instructors tuned their drums, quads 1 drum is like a half step apart. You can hear this at 5:02 and 9:24
@@rbass311 seems a bit ridiculous in my opinion. why struggle to warm up, just to play easier beats? Seems like a waste of time to me. why not focus on easier warm ups, and then play cleaner, harder, more impressive show beats.
Exercises are supposed to push your skill sets. You want to build enough chops and mature enough hands to play the show at a high level. That's why if you want to play rolls great at 170, practice rolls at 180. Same concept. Makes perfect sense to me.
Seth Edmonds well we also have to consider that warmups aren’t going to played while moving. adding a visual and marching aspect on the floor to the beats is what makes the show hard per se
Remember there are two halves to this show. Just wait until you see the 2nd half. The Warm up packet was designed for this past fall season BOA Grand National's trip. And have you seen the Visual demand of this years winter show?
Quad rule number 1: always bring stands
The way they play through the drum shows such musical maturity. Sounds good, guys!

What great bass line technique. But just about the majority of the show beats are easier than the warm ups.
Ike Jackson will tell you that the warm ups are always gonna be harder than the show beats.
