Congrats Dave to you and the wife. Let's hope its a better year. Íl be glad to get back to work bloody covid arghh well. Excellent vid as always looking forward to getting fishing soon.
Heres a tip for you Dave i got hold of 2 stone rakes tied them back to back and i have about 30-40 mtrs of rope attached to it . every time i go coarse fishing i rake the swims first . I dont loose any fish through weeds. this can be a lake or a river.
Alright David, cracking vid again and Congratulations to you and Mrs Scobie on the baby news it’s the best job in the world mate, my wee dude is 4 this month it really flies in. Did look mighty cold mate but u sure it was -5 I’m sure for some it’s -19 (if you get me 😂) Any way tight lines and all the best WATP 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hello dave first thing is a big CONGRATULATION''S to you and mrs scobie and family on the great news the second thing is if that steak had legs it would have run away ha ha thank's dave have a great new year 👍
Hi Dave, congratulations on the baby news. Get in as much FISHIN as you can for the next 10 years, cos after that there will be the football, and the karate and whatever else the kids will want you to drive them to😁😁😁😁😁that's an impressive lookin rig. Keep us posted
Congratulations 👏 next time you loose gear in the river you'll follow it in now not often i have spare money. I haven't seen ice as thick as that for years. 2010 it got quite cold ponds was frozen solid so went to canal and that was frozen. I ended up on the trent it'll take a lot to freeze that again.
I had to snowball another Heron it was getting too close to me on Fridays session. I duno what it is with the heron's on the Erne this winter they seem to be necky and cheeky as hell.
Congratulations on baby remember David it’s for life not just for Christmas. Thank god All my in their late 20/30 all the best for 2021 .Another pike boy/ girl on the way Lovely mate 🙏🍼🍼🍼🧸🎈George in Stoke
Happy new year to you Dave , the steak cooking made my mouth water . The device on the trace looks a bit clumbersom and I wonder would it tangle during a cast , let us know some time on one of your vids, again congratulations on your good news about a baby scobie on the way 🥃👍
Cheers Ian, like I said this is the testing phase of the idea so I've not worked out all the kinks yet. As for casting that's surprised me it's not been a issue so far. With bigger baits I'd be using a Baitboat to drag them into position or for trolling it would be just plonked off the side of the boat. But it's a work in progress at the moment.
Congratulations Dave on a new member to your family, hope every thing go ok for your wife, your life will change for ever once your wife leave that hospital 👍.
Hi David You have lots of rivers in and around Omagh, why dont you give them a seeing too for the pike, i remember years ago fishing the creamery for huge Roach on the bridge and bend, CONGRATULATIONS BUD on the next leg of your adventures, just become a Grandfather myself, doing night shifts to give daughter a couple of nights sleep, so although im happy for you i know whats to come for a few months after arrival. Licence fee money goes into trout rearing and putting them in lough erne and such places that are already over flowing with the freekin things, i only fish for trout in march and april for the craic, once the weed starts to grow hard i stop. I prefure feeder fishing or slider fishing personally. Take care Stay safe and keep it lit.👍 my man.
Congrats mate iv 2 little monsters but wouldn't be without them, gonna need plenty of video s for 6 months as i busted my pelvis in a RTC 2weeks ago, had to go out of 2020 with a bag lol 🤣🤣
@@DavidScobie yea minimum 6 months can get about on crutches but using wheelchair for appointments, kinda shit all me fishing and hunting plans went out the window, but the main thing I'm still here, shit happens you just have to get on with it and get back out there
Another good episode of cooking with scobes that steake looked lush . Can that rig be used in a lake or just rivers. I love fishing in the middle of winter mainly because there's not many other people out.
The rig from my testing casts well it dosent tangle up it needs moving water to turn the little propellers if a lough had some flow then it would work. The steak sandwich turned out better than expected but as it was bloody cold and I was hungry it didn't stay around for long hahaha
Congratulations on the news of upcoming fatherhood, stoked for you, but i hope you realize that your wings are about to be clipped. Seems to me that you have a good woman that you share time with , be understanding when she says no and dont begrudge your time not on the bank because when you are bank side you will appreciate it more . Tight lines and bring it on. ----- Knocked up the wife, you said that like , yeah , took the dog for a walk. Happy new year fella. Thanks for the vlog , three kids and a limited amount of free time dude, make the most of it.
The lure of hot coffee and steak sandwiches kept me in the warmth of the van for a bit buddy it was a nippy day. I did throw some lures but it wasn't on camera.
Congrats Papa Scobes! Why do you never have a wee cast with lures in the margins before setting up or even have a wee roach lying close in? You seem to always cast out into the edge of or in the flow and maybe fishing past the fish?
Hey Andy I fished the three rods in different places the 3rd rod was in close. I did think of lures on that day but it was too friggen cold to stand out on the jetty flinging lures for a bit hahaha the urge of a steak sandwich and hot coffee kept the lure rod in the van.
Yea Northern Ireland is in lockdown your allowed to go fishing but its suggested that you don't travel more than 10miles. Its a suggestion not a law at this point according to the stuff I got from a local politician
Russell it was a good day I was going to do a skit about Rangers being 19 points clear but there was people around so I didn't do it. But yes the 55 is coming home and it's going to be glorious..
congrats on you and your wifes good news m8 we must get out after all this covid shite calms down . i will get a cool team monster bib for the we one in july m8
Awesome congratulations on becoming a father, it's an interesting world parenting 😬🤣 Intrigued with the rattling River rig, just with regards a take on it, does the rattle slide up the trace or is it fixed. Just with a pike taking or turning it head first where is the rattle?
It can slide up the trace so it can move I though about a fish using it as a leaver to pull the hook out so I made it fixed at the bottom but it can move up the trace. I'm still tinkering and trying to make it better I think a solid titanium wire would be good but like I say I'm testing it at the moment.
Great video mate congratulations on becoming a daddy. Was out at the weekend and blanked myself what's your opinion on popped up bait vs baits on the bottom at this time of year?
Hey Richie thanks for the comment buddy, popped up v flat on the bottom both have their place mate I tend to fish a mixture so baits are off the bottom and on the bottom. They both work buddy.
