    The montage of his memories were well done. It shows that he has come full circle and regrets his past.

    This is a great summary of their relationship. It explains a lot about how Todd feels about his past with Marty. I like how most of the clips are in the order that they happened. All of the newbies and youngins who think that Todd & Marty belong together and haven't seen the 90's clips should at least watch this one. They might actually realize why Todd could NEVER bring himself to go there again. Victor & Marty would've been a good couple if Victor wasn't living Todd's life.

    This montage of Todd & Marty's relationship w/ the constant scenes of their consensual one night are brilliantly put together. Hard to believe Todd & Marty had a one nighter. U can see that eats at him.

      The more I watch these episodes I think Marty is very hung up on Todd also. One of the reasons she went off with David Vickers is because he was like a substitute Todd for the night. Neither one of them could take it any further but they both were pretty into one another.

    I was watching this again (yes again) and I LOVE the part of the montage when the windows are banging against the KAD house, and the images are shown fading into each other. Very strong and powerful stuff. This one scene itself, leading into the fight in the mud would explain to ANYONE why we think the way we do about RH, Tarty and the current state of OLTL.

    This is an awesome montage. OLTL knew what they were doing here; and luckily, while it was RH the REAL TODD, we did not have to see Tarty.

    How brilliant are the writers to have Marty act out again even almost saying the same things to David that she said to Todd the first time she met him...I love it! This to me is the end of the saga between Todd and Marty it starts at spring fling and ends here..pure brilliant!!!!!!!!

      Great comment, I just commented that Marty went off with David Vickers as a substitute Todd! She definitely still had a thing for Todd and he had one for her but the rape was between them and they weren't going to go any further.

    Since it was revealed that St. John's Todd was never Todd (in the story, that is), Todd was never ruined by a Todd and Marty romance.

    • @Sizeet
      @Sizeet 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, but while I know that, for various reasons, it's wrong to pair these two romantically, they would have made a very interesting romance; much more interesting/complex than Luke and Laura.

      That was one of the few good things about that story. That and Howarth's Todd was Todd after all. It was funny when he said "This guy had a relationship with Marty Saybrooke... and none of you figured out he wasn't me?!?!" That one line had everyone in the room scratching their heads lol.

    @izzatluv I agree! The current head writer has not only ruined Todd but Marty too!

    That Montage of marty & todd was incredibly well done. They covered so much and they kept showing clips of their first night together when marty asked him to stay and he left. That was a very consistent theme that was brought up a lot before the rape and when todd was on the stand in the rape trial the only truth he told was about him regretting leaving her that night. I love how todd explains that him leaving really stirred him up and after he left he became obsessed with trying to get marty to be with him . Oltl did such a fantastic job for 2 years on this rape story. Everything about it was captivating like lighting in a bottle including oltl finally getting a ton of emmys.

    • @Justicia007

      That was an excellent scene. He explained that she asked him to care by asking him to stay and that was what he couldn't accept. And then he regretted leaving and became really obsessed. But she was also obsessed with him. It was a two-way street...even after the rape

    This shows Todd had a conscience
    It is sad thinking about how OLTL has ruined one of the greatest characters of all time
    All Tarty fans should watch this clip, Modd rules!

    This is a long shot, but does anyone have the dates that this aired? I suspect it was in 1995 or 1996.

    What part does the talk on the bridge happen? Where she tells him not to jump.

      It was at the docks after he lost his first child (a son) when Blair was mugged by a bunch of thugs.

    My thoughts are yes and no. They have a deep, dark and ugly connection that no one else understands. While Blair was/is the love of his life, Marty represented the monster in him that he was so ashamed and scared of. I think he felt like he would forever owe Marty for what he did to her. Interesting enough, although Blair was the love of his life I think he would save Marty over Blair. She was kind of like his soul if that makes sense.

    They turned Marty into a serial killer to the best female actress in OLTL history some would say Vicky is just because your in a show long term does not make you the best. The rape storyline was OLTL shining momment Roger and Susan pulled it off and the fans wanted more of it.

      I did watch Ericka Slezak when I was a young girl when Victor Lord Sr. when the the sex offender sleeze ball was a alive. I can also remember Ms. Slezak's real life father played Victor Sr. for a time this was back in the days after the 1968 premiere show of oltl it was sick, sick story line not only did molestation and never ever show it's ugly, ugly side on other shows at that time period. Nasty old Victor loved the young girls too much didn't matter that the girls were his daughters who lived with Victor Sr. Yes, I said daughters plural...one daughter Merideth died and well the other Victoria's mind broke into pieces! Now, how is that for memory???

    • @marcelparker6755
      @marcelparker6755 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joyjohnston5616 Erika Slezak's dad NEVER played Victor... he only guested on the show. Plus Victor never considered Meredith his daughter... always said that Eugenia had an affair and that she was someone else's. Also, Victor was based on Agnes Nixon's own dad... until the producers in the 80s had him written as a dirty old man, and an even dirtier one in the 90s.
