    I think Brian Thompson got off easy. He was never denied any healthcare and didnt have to wait for months/years to get a medical procedure. He died quickly, no suffering, unlike the tens of thousands of people who died and suffered under his rule.

    I have a Downs Syndrome son who died at 36 years old. He had
    United Health Care, and they tried to get me to sign a DNR when he was in the hospital. They said his heart wouldn't make it thru the night, I refused so they discharged him without a second thought. Under my care at home, he lived 8 more monthes.
    They are our worst nightmare, and should be charged as criminals.

I am 68 and I do not want what I paid in given to anyone that did not pay into it. Believe me, Social Security and Medicare is not what you think it is. I will never get what I paid in back in benefits. You had also better plan for your retirement independently from SS and Medicare or you will not be able to survive. So happy I did or I would be in big financial trouble now. Stop giving my money away. I did not work my entire life to support free loaders.

    I have UHC, I had a cyst in my neck the size of a golf ball. So, I go to see my doctor, who sends me to a dermatologist. The dermatologist comes back and says to me that UHC will not cover the cost of removal, that UHC determines the cyst to be "cosmetic," until infected. The doctor said that he was not surprised and that it needed to come out before it got infected, if it got infected the numbing agents would be less effective, if effective at all. the dermatologist offered to take it out for me (out of sympathy) for $70 cash. $70 got-dam dollars! After I pay these insurance crooks thousands upon thousands a year, with no claims, they couldn't cover $70 got-dam dollars. Sympathy for the dead crook: NONE

    Brian was the CEO of UnitedHealthcare a company well known for doing anything it could to NOT pay out, of all the major providers it ranks least likely to pay out. Saying 'nobody in the history of US healthcare was doing more to improve things than Brian' doesn't ring true when he had 4 years in the job and UHC was still the worst performing company to provide medical cover to it's customers. If Brian truly was the champion you'd have us believe then we'd have seen it and chances are he'd be alive today.

    This is NOT JUST UNITED HEALTH CARE. It's every CEO who is making huge amounts of money from people who have faithfully paid their insurance premiums for years, ( health, auto,homeowners, renters) only to find that when they go to make a claim, they are either denied or dropped. Just look how shameful insurance companies have treated homeowners who have lost their homes from environmental disasters.

    Doctors go to school for many years to learn what is safe and necessary for patient care and treatment; insurance executives don’t. We need single payer universal healthcare, not private health insurers.

Healthcare should be a right not a luxury like republicans trying so hard to get rid of government insurance. It’s stupid that we are the richest in the world and yet people in Europe and a lot of other countries have it and if you happen to get sick while you’re there you hardly have to pay anything.

They go to the USA for care in such cases as U.S. facilities know that Canada will eventually pay up. Google wait times in Ottawa and other Canadian cities. But I agree. U.S. Healthcare needs a shakeup and...gasp...SOME regulation.
