Plus 6 from what? Would you have to know the size of the cables you are replacing? In my case, I have short ape bars, whose size I do not know, and after market braided cables. What initial cable measurement do I start with, for a 2000 Springer?

Question if you where doing this backwards going from a higher handlebar to a lower profile handle bar would you get shorter cables or would you keep the longer cables

Who makes a riser (chrome) in a 2- inch diameter and 2- inch height? I think the bars are called Fat Bars, but I can't find anything. The bars were added to a 2004 Harley Deuce.

I currently have 11 inch "ram horn" bars with a 2 inch riser. (1999 FXDWG OEM)
I'm interested in swapping them for 14 inch lane splitter MX T-bars.
They have basically the same dimesnions, but in a very different profile. Will I need any new cables?

What if you have 16" ape hangers and want to change them for 10" mini apes. Do you need new cables or can you loop the excess cable somewhere?

Thats fairly drastic change. You can loop the cables but they may be too long. I would throw the bars on, and check the clutch cable. Its usually the worst offender.

I have a +6 kit, but not sure how throttle cables work? How do they connect to others to extend it. Never changed them before. They are short

I have a 2001 heritage softail classic and have a stock bar but want to go 14". Do I need to extend cables or should I be okay with stock cables?

If you follow the instructions in the video you will know exactly how long of cables you need.

I always used a length of 3/8 soft copper tubing

I'm going the opposite direction I guess I'll just hide all the slack somewhere for now if it's going to work the same.

You should have spoke about the brake line ends . They are selling brake lines that don't match the stock lines. The end of the brake line is female and requires a fitting adaptor...male x male
to fit the junction before their female line will work. The junction requires male fittings but the extended brake lines being sold have a female end , what a dumb ass thing to do.
The other option is to buy their junction with the lines welded in the junction , that's dumb too ! Who wants that junk ?
Only one brake line needs to be bought is from the junction to the brake leaver with one end a male fitting to screw into the junction ....But oh no they want you to spend 140.00 only the whole set. The hardest thing is finding the extended cables before buying the apes. I haven't bought the bars because of this China junk
