  • Motorcycle roadracer Miguel DuHamel outs competitor Dale Quarterly on rough tactics in 1993. Quarterly mocks DuHamel in return. They were both running Kawasaki ZX-7 superbikes but in completely separate teams. Miguel led the official factory squad while Quarterly had signed the support of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand for a private effort. DuHamel would have the last laugh with dominance on a couple of Hondas over the next several years. This was the most glorious era of AMA roadracing, with up to six manufacturers in with a chance for the win across highly competitive Superbike and Supersport starting grids.

@1:20 ..You may notice that Quarterly is a little short handed on his left side ,after losing his left little finger during a crash at Laguna Seca, I believe in 1984 when he refused to release the handle bars after loosing the front end under the foot bridge just before Rainy corner, destroying the finger. Dales famous line to surgeons: "Cut it off."

Miguel is starting to show up on my recommend videos for some reason. Not the worst thing. My era of racing. Not my favorite rider but a great talent. Rather see Doug Chandler or Poland. AI are you listening?
PS: The nicest guys rode ZXRs. I met Quarterly in the pits at Pomona as a fan. It was a mess but he still treated us really nice. Think of Chandler, Eric Bostrom, Tommy Hayden, Roger Hayden, Anthony Gobert and not to forget Akira Yanagawa.
