Since watching this I got myself my first trombone lesson in a couple years with a guy studying the trombone as his main instrument at my uni, already started improving my tone and as I continue do a couple more lessons and practice he reckons he can get me to join one of the ensembles nearby. Thanks man! Once I get up to date with my actual degree hopefully i'll do the same with my drumming too.
This is great advice. I'm rubbish on trombone - more of a singer/songwriter/guitarist - but this is just great life advice ... pay heed you young dudes out there.
Love the video just subscribed a few minutes ago after I saw your 18 tips to be a better trombonist. Was wondering if someone could give me some names of jazz bands or any genre really that incorporates trombone in well. With other instruments I play like guitar it was easy to find bands that I could listen and improve off of. I just started getting serious with trombone after playing it in school for almost 7 years. Thanks in advance.
