Product placement done really well. This is a whole new level of marketing, i've never seen anything like this before. Working Holiday Studio, impressive.
I would love to see before and after pictures of the home! Also, would love to see more of it -- the garage, basement, etc.! Beautiful! Happy for your! :)
Amazing house. Simple yet very attractive to the eye. I love all the decor and colors, just enough, not too much Looks fresh and modern Saludos from Los Angeles as well 👌🏻😀
The design is amazing and as the guy said you can find the serenity in the house. However, the simplicity of Japanese and Scandinavian styles come from the local materials to have less impact on our planet. Not to achieve that look by increasing the carbon footprint by bringing materials from other side of the world.
I found it weird--slightly inauthentic--to proudly proclaim that it was Mexican but didn't 'look Mexican.' This is another way of saying that you are ashamed of Mexico and want to imitate European Modernism. But in imitating European Models, you are yourself continuing a longer tradition of European Imitation that initiated when Mexico was a colony and was named NovoHispano. So, there's nothing truly modernist in this take on modernism. Instead of making Ionic Columns out of local materials, like the colonialists of Novohispano did, this couple has simply made Scandy dining tables out of local materials.
You really shouldn't let former art students direct these videos. They get all caught up in "making art" at the expense of making a good, informative video. For example, I would have liked to have seen the whole bathroom, but no, instead we get an artsy-fartsy zoom-out shot that only ever shows part of it.
That tapestry at the entrance is both art and sculpture. Just because there are walls, doesn't mean you need to cover every part of them with "art." Sometimes, less is definitely more.
@@MTMF.london It's not about plastering. There is clean, minimalistic art as well. I totally agree that some (SOME) paintings an sculptures are missing. I love the house and the interior as such, but in my opinion, more, carefully chosen, artworks would increase the spirit overall without destroying the serenity.
I would have really appreciated the focus to have been on the before and after of this beautiful home and MUCH less on this couple. I wish the house was shown completely. What little was shown does look amazing.
It’s a shame we never got the chance to truly enjoy the beauty of this house. The music and quick cuts ruin these videos. Lo-fi hip-hop has become our generation’s elevator music. I really want to believe this lady is not this pretentious IRL, but the editing isn’t doing her any favors. Renovating a home with materials and furniture that aren’t local is hardly “minimalist.” Maybe aesthetically, sure. But something about the way this couple talked about their renovation was came across as insincere. I was actually hoping to learn more about the windows and doors.
The Valley gets REALLY hot in the summer. I'm sure this house is baking 6 months of the year with all the exposure and dark paint. Sure looks pretty though!
They have a few nice pieces but the house is bland, with a poorly optimized plan and their decoration does nothing to change the general dynamic of the spaces.
There's nothing bland about the house. It has simple and clean lines - great bones, as he said. They did just enough to complement their life style and maximize energy-saving features. What is important is that they love it.
always an obvious product plug. And being amazed by double pane windows? Seriously in 2022? Try showcasing Euro windows which are triple pane, tilt and swing.
This house is a wannabe but couldn’t achieve its potential. It looks purged from Scandinavian styles but at the end with out any soul. The best part is their kid with the swing. All else is very dull.
The house is nice, love that sectional. A perfect pop of color. Also, that man is beautiful.
I like the house. It is serene, peaceful, so, mission accomplished.

Love the mix of Scandinavian and mid-Century with the warmth of the black trimmed windows. Very nice.
This has articulated my taste perfectly! Mid century modern - minimalist design/art - zen colourway. I love it!!
even though it's ad I'm still giving this a like. Edgy. Clean. Quirky. Beautiful entourage. Yeah, I'd live here
I would love to see before and after pictures of the home! Also, would love to see more of it -- the garage, basement, etc.! Beautiful! Happy for your! :)
In my opinion a perfect house. Its not too colorful, its not too big, not too small. Just perfect
Amazing design- elegant, peaceful and warm! 👏🏿 🙌🏿
so beautiful! please do a more in depth video. would love see the kitchen more!

Holy cow! So much to live about this house!!! That front landscaping is perfect. Yet I’m going to ask can anyone guide me to the couch 😂
this is the perfect chill vibe
Besutiful house and family. Great talent there. 😎
Beautiful design !!! 😍
Ang ganda. Sana all. ❤
Very well executed home!
Are they really that tall or are the doors shorter than standard?
Its beautiful, true home vibes ✨ 💕
It's really beautiful.
:) love the miX OF sCANNADINAVIAN and mid Century friend. 😊 from VietNam, thanks! for sharing ! 👍👍🇻🇳
love this home
that fireplace needs a painting
LOVE the Mexico raw cotton tapestry, so unique. Can you share where to buy?

@@swicheroo1 you sound so angry, IMO their house and taste is pretty much impeccable.
that kid is so cute!!
good to see MONUMENT GREY is spreading globally :)
Where can the raw cotton tapestry be found, purchased?
Amazing. 😍
Great house
0:37 I would not describe the relatively bare interior nor the black exterior as "warm". 😆
same.... I don't know where people are getting that from.
Anyone know anything about the hanging tapestry?
Beautiful!
What can you do for window treatments where privacy is an issue?

God bless you🙏 💐💐💐💐🙏...,
Love that coffee table! It’s cute and round. Where did you get that from?
Impresionante 👏
Who made that orange couch??
i had a feeling this clip would be a commercial.
Such natural branded moments delivered from some design plebs.
Snarks aplenty.
Love it!
ooh what a shame you didn' t embrace the Bauhaus movement here. Would have really been beautiful,
Empty white box, wonder what they tore out of it?
Anyone know where the chairs out front are from?
Cuts made me a bit dizzy NGL but gorgeous space!
Without art and sculpture create lots of Gap

probs could use more plants
CARA LARGA!
look feels incomplete; maybe that s what japandi means
This is contemporary, not midcentury modern. The outside of the property looks great, but it's now contemporary inside.
Copenhagen AND Denmark ???
This house is a great base but it desperately needs some more artwork! The fireplace and many of the walls looks so unfinished
Zen and materialism. Oil and water.
Looks like a Don Scholz design

Is this just an advertorial for Western Window Systems? Appears to be the case.
Keep mid century mid century
It’s very nice but just a little plain in my honest opinion
So dull...nothing special about this. They made it look cheap.
@ M R ,Uhh, do you understand minimalism?
The guy looks like Johnny Depp.
its so nice to see black exterior walls bcs of their cold weather/seasons.... as it is not suitable for asian countries HOT all the time...

nothing japanese about this house. don'y just say it is to be trendy
Neither Mexican. Also don’t just say it to be culture proud-trendy
Snore-ville.
There’s nothing “Japanese” about that all white drywall house. No lunch gardens, no woodwork, bland mega-sofas.

Help, the idiot 90's moustache is back :/. And this time, it comes with stupid glasses on top!
it's really a boring looking house.
Nothing seems real in this video... Minimalist actor-supermodels with expensive designer furniture.
Beautiful!
