So, the heatshield is not able to be mounted back where it was if you want the oil catch can there? I suppose its not the best thing to remove heat shields? How is it running without? I feel hesitant to remove something like that.
after research, it is actually used for sound deadening and not a heat shield. I ended up removing the foam off the back of the plastic cover and wedging it in place to where it went originally. there should be no difference with or without, just a little noisier
@@bluequadrifoglio6057 i posted a link to the manufacturer website who sells them in the description. it is definitely an essential item to add to prolong the life of the motor. it helps by collecting oil vapors passing through that would end up building up on valves. it has to be emptied every 3,000mi roughly. most manufacturers don't put them in because most people would not empty it frequently as required.
