Hey There! Thank you for watching. You can make it any size you want, even a 16x9 for posting to an IG story. I usually post them directly to my feed though. 1080 x 1350 is the highest res portrait instagram will allow before resizing or compressing. This format also takes up the most screen real estate at a 4 X 5, if that makes sense. Sometimes though I will create the animation at 1080X1920 (portrait) for posting to a story, then cropping down to 1080 X 1350 for sharing to my feed.
