great to hear rapha will be sticking around to try to make 2024 quake work. the game is at a point where I think community involvement at all levels is really required if people want to keep it alive. hopefully some of these organizations can drive that change, and hopefully we get a new quake with even better dev/monetary support then QC to build off that momentum.

I pray Quake can stay alive and hopefully gain popularity, its the best fps as a spectator! So many legendary duels since q3, I come back to watch cooller vs cypher, rapha vs evil and others those are some of the greatest moments in esports.
So glad that interviews like this keep happening. Also, great work to everyone @ Endpoint on keeping Quake alive and in the (admittedly weak) spotlight- AFPS is nothing without the support of the true fans. Keep it up!

Great interview, I really liked how you were talking about the practice regimen in NA, always wondered how he gets by with such low player count. I hope he figures out how to dominate two different quakes, that would be badass. I think kovaaks rawaccel would help match acceleration across the games.
Yah I just don't think he wants to use any 3rd party drivers because he would have to install them on LAN tournament computers which is a hassle and also likely banned by tournaments anyway..so he would never use it.
Rapha will indeed be doing amazing work, although personally I think WinD will be the guy to beat in 2024.
Can you try get a link to Rapha's new quake live cfg as he seems to of fixed his mouse acceleration problems recently?
Then possibly do a video on what he changed to improve his games feeling and why like a deep dive into setting etc
It's interesting to hear what he think about Halo Infinite, could be a strong arena FPS on PC but it would need some help, Halo is cursed be the fact it was an Xbox exclusive game since years and it's sad...

Agent won rapha 15 times on any map
Agent right now tryharding QL 24/7 for 7 months. He also played QL tournaments in 2017 - 2023 years, almost every year at that period
While Rapha is playing QL on a regular basis For Only 1 Month, and he didnt play QL since maybe even 2017 (!!!)

Who is this guy N.Maiorov😮 ?

N.Maiorov is guy who could win only 20-200$ lol-tournaments when Quake Live had Elite Level competition (in 2008-2016). And his Best Achievement in Quake Champions was only top5-8 at Tier1 Tournament
So basically N.Maiorov is Tier1.5-2 Quake player at his peak. He can be Tier1 only vs A LOT weaker opponents, like in Diabotical or Dead Quake Live (after 2016, when almost all Elite Pro Quakers left this game)

@@AntonieB1 yeah its too slow, too many OP abilities, just felt clunky and noisy. They could have just refaced quakelive (textures), maybe added a single player (vr support?), then they could have spoke to the pro's and tweaked the game modes and added some more, so its more fluid and more fun (for new players and old)
Yeah champions was in shit state for longest time and besides that the engine / gaming as a service setup doesn't really suite Quake. (It can suite a game like quake for sure but lots of things should be added / changed then) But the casino game engine used for Champions really is the worst in history of quake.@@traida111

"кукарешник" этот в своё время выигрывал Tier2 чемпы (второй по значимости высочайший профессиональный уровень Quake). А именно: DreamHack Summer 2010 (Quake Live), Dreamhack Winter 2009 (QL), GameGune 2008 (Quake III Arena), ESWC 2007 (Quake 4), WSVG Lanwar 2007 (Q4), i30 (Q4). Кроме того Авек занимал топ 2-3 на чемпах уже Tier1 уровня (высочайший профессиональный уровень Quake) - DreamHack Winter 2018 (QC), Intel Extreme Masters IV (QL), Multiplay i-Series 32 (Q4). Ну и естественно на Tier2 чемпах Авек также занимал топ2-3, причём примерно раз 10 (пруфы общедоступны). И вполне возможно что я не указал ещё сразу несколько Tier1 чемпов, которые Авек либо выиграл, либо занял на них топ2-3, т.к. я "занизил" уровень чемпа из-за недостаточно высоких призовых
То бишь Авек это игрок, который достигал высшего профессионального уровня сразу в 4 (!!!) версиях Quake. Q3, Q4, QL и QC. За свою профессиональную карьеру в Quake он выиграл почти 200к $ призовых, являясь по призовым топ3 игроком Quake 4, топ6 Quake Live, и даже топ8 Quake Champions
А про Рафу я вообще молчу - это лучший 1v1 игрок во ВСЕЙ истории Quake, причём скорее всего уже Навсегда. И то что Рафа спустя скорее всего СЕМЬ лет afk в Quake Live Агенту, это ровно то же самое что какой-нибудь Майк Тайсон в возрасте эдак 40-45 лет жёстко проигрывал бы ничего не значащие спарринги тому, кого бы он на пике либо уверенно победил, либо вообще размазал по рингу
А Рафа на своём пике в 2008-2016 годы в Quake Live - Николая aka Agent aka "чемпион 20-200 долларовых турниров" - Рафа бы его на Tier1 чемпе как раз либо уверенно победил, либо размазал по всем картам

Ye, win in Dead game (QL) after about 7 YEARS of afk for Rapha, Lol. Victories over Rapha in Quake Live only mattered until 2017, when Elite Level Pro players competed and trained regularly. Also at that time Rapha was One of Two Best QL 1v1 players, and Agent was only 20-200$ tournaments winner, and maximum Tier2 player
