Gayatri Sahiba, I have listened to some of your renderings and did really appreciated them. You do have a golden voice. Regret to say this Concert FAILED to do justice to your talent. There were too much praising the orchestra, avoidable explanations, Aalap not registering with listeners enjoyment matrix and reproduction or experimentation with Ghalib's
Kalaam not to the level of pleasure one expected. I have been listening to Gazal, Sufi Sangeet, Carnatic and Hindustani music as just a listener for over 50 years and have enjoyed gayan of Begum Akhtar, Jagjit & Chitra, Talat Aziz, Chandran Das, Gulam Ali sahib, Mehndi Hassan, Dr. M Bala Murali, Chembai Swamy, MSS, Maharaja puram Santanam, Dr. K J Yesudas, Hariharan, Ramesh Narayanan, Pandit Jasraj etc to name a few. This Album,, to my mind did not reach the core of a listeners taste, though many have applauded your effort.
Gayatri ji, it shows a true performer who is classically immersed doesn't need tamzam to give a splendid performance. A great baithak style Mehfil in a 8x8 room. Bahot khoob.
