Season 7 😳👍 Hole diving 🥶 Man, that 2nd one you showed was making me really cold. Then came that last one…wow! Such beautiful Pike too! Looking forward to the Arizona trip.

Glad your back is a getting better. We had the same problems with big pike so Pops made a special stick with smooth ball end hooks (so you don’t injure the fish) on the end so you can manoeuvre the head up the hole. We got tired of hole diving, to cold lol 😂.

Sounds like a good idea, I might need to try a stick like that!

Happy New Year to you as well! It's always a good time out on the ice, even if I am a little sore.

Sucks about the back Sean, but lucky for you, this ice fishing season in Alberta hasn't been the greatest with the warm weather. Hope you get back on the ice soon!

Dang - that was like polar bear dips. Wild compilation.
Take care of yourself. Been also having back issues. Mine is in my lower spine and causing sciatica in my left leg. The pain has been brutal, so I imagine what you're going through. Take care of yourself and wish you continued health improvement. Have fun in AZ!

I know that hurts! It seems like it takes forever to warm that body part up too!! I think you did the right thing each time. 😊😊

Bugger putting my hand down there. I think I would be designing something to do the job for me. May be a length tube or something, so it has a bit of flex. With a groove or small v in end to catch line as you push down into the water. The idea of groove is for line to travel through until you get to problem. Then with a slight push, hopefully release hooks from ice. The more you know about what the problem is. The better you can design something. Just an Idea. Nice one Sean. Hope you sort the back problem. Take care mate. Shaun. UK.

There actually are some tools on the market that do exactly that. However most of us still end up going the arm diving route. We're tough enough 😂

@@chris_2714 Tough is the word, oh and mad or crazy. Fair play to you all. Its not just the cold for me. Its those big fish with those monster teeth. Thanks for the reply Chris. Happy new year mate. Shaun.

I think a bit crazy is right, and you definitely need to look out for the teeth. I have been bitten a few times

My 3rd ever video I had to do this... go shoulder deep for a pike. This was after having to drill 2 more holes to make the original hole bigger. We'll long story short, I ended up shoulder deep in the hole and my hand ended up in the pike's mouth... I noodled a 3 foot pike lol. Lots of blood followed 😂

Yikes. I am always watching out for the teeth, but I was bit once too. Not too bad, but it can be scary when its a big one.

Sorry that your back is still hurting.
Have you tried acupuncture,I had suffered with my knees for over 10 years and just last year went and got acupuncture on them and its been a total game changer for me.

I got it the last time my back went out and it worked great. I will ask my physio again to see if they will try it.

The way you were stripping off clothes for that last one, I thought we were going to see skinny dipping for Pike. 😂 Take care of that back and get it better.
