Just a tip: cook your chickpeas and freeze them. That’s how you don’t need icecubes anymore. The chickpeas can be in the refrigerator for month so I cook always a lot of these the night before and freeze them. That’s how I can always make hummus whenever I want
I’ve made this every month for about half a year now...couldn’t find a better way to utilise my TM and make delicious hummus. Thank the gods your channel exist!!!!
Don't drain it! This is Aquafaba!!! Use it instead of eggs for baking and cooking. It is awesome! 😉😋 I always freeze it in ice cube forms and use each cube to replace an egg.
Thank you for this tip, I've wanted to find a way to use the Chickpea liquid as tossing it seemed wrong, glad it freezes well! Would it work well in place of an egg in Chocolate Chip Cookies by chance?
I LOVE your energy! I Wish there were more recent videos of yours, you've been a huge inspiration to my getting a Thermomix at long last, as expected, it is the literal Dream Machine i've wanted! Thank you for the great tips about hummus!
I love hummus too! thanks Sophia for this video. Could you pls pls also teach me the TMX steps on how to cook my own chickpeas from dried garbanzo beans? thanks in advance!
I am taking delivery of my TM6 on Friday. Super excited. Is there a lot of steam generated when cooking with the machine? I don't know whether to leave it under an overhead cabinet or whether the steam will ruin the cabinet. Would love your thoughts!
There is a bit of steam, especially when cooking rice or soups. I wouldn’t leave it directly under the cabinet if you can. I use a Thermi ergoslide under the thermomix which allows me to pull it out from under the cabinet easily when I need to use it. 👍
Thanks for your comment. I just searched or a video and it's super easy (including dry roasting it in the machine first before blending the sesame seeds up, which I didn't think of). Then you can dump in all the other hummus ingredients after that.
Hi Sophia. Thanks for your tutorials. Your face reminds me of a better version of Anne Hathaway and I thought that was impossible! If you don't know who she is, look her up. Keep doing what you do :)

Love hummus. Thank you for this 😋
Would love to try this. Do you have the steps for cooking the dried chickpeas instead? Can it be done in TM?

Could you say the weight of the chickpeas cans please? Here they come in glass containers, so I cannot know if the weight is the same... Thanks!
Hi Sophia! it works if I just make half of the recipe??
Sophia do you have a recipe on how to make your own Tahini please.
Nope but it’s going on the list :)

Have all the ingredients already! It's a sign. Thank you.
Exciting times!!!!
I did this recipe but halved it and added roasted red peppers. It was too smooth, any ideas why??
how many grama of chickpeas is it?
Hi Sophia, congrats on the baby! ☺️ I love hummus but I’m the only one st home that does! If I make half of the recipe will it be as smooth?
Yes should be fine :)
Mmmmm!!!
Can you make tahini in tm6.
Hummus without yogurt?
as syrian I won't be satisfied with thermomix until someone show us if it can make hummus from dried hummus
Yes you can, just Google Thermomix hummus dried chickpeas and lots of recipes pop up, including how to cook the dried chickpeas
