HIS lawyer claimed that she was "demanding" that while blackmailing him in response to the lawsuit but her lawyer responded and said that was the figure they were offering her to keep quiet/not go public with her lawsuit. her actual lawsuit didn't mention ANY sum and we have no details of the settlement.
They said she was gonna release a tell all book if he didn't give her $30 Million but he refused. So she tried to file suit to get the $30 Million in which she got a SETTLEMENT, an offer given to avoid a full lawsuit payment. Neither was the 8 figure settlement the exaggerated amount of $100 Million. It was about $10 Million.

This is maybe when people's emotions calm down, i'd like to know if anyone has thought of why would a 'bad guy' like Diddy who also isn't stupid, would go in and settle a lawsuit with someone for 3xs more than they asked?
Now yes, most people would accept heartily and just go with it and run, but that would strike me as MEGA odd.
Just because there is some evidence that a person is bad wouldn't stop them from not paying, low balling, threatening, etc. So if he did do that there are some entanglements he put in there on her that actually stifle her from things in her life, not just with him. There would be some entrapments with that.

Once Cassie filed the lawsuit which Diageo helped Cassie to do, then Diageo used Cassie’s allegation as an excuse to get rid of puff from ciroq payroll.
The reason why he paid Cassie quick was to be able to stay on the payroll of Ciroq. But puff didn’t know that diageos lawyers and Cassie s lawyers were working behind the scenes to take down puff.

@deshawn18 Do you understand how much harder it is for someone to press charges? You need precise and iron clad proof to even get any prosecutor to consider opening a criminal case. It is so difficult for victims to prove the exact moment a relationship went from consensual to non consensual. Given the amount of time these things have been going on it would be much harder. Understand that her lawyers probably advised that pursuing a criminal case would be lengthy, expensive and extremely difficult and told her that filing for a civil case would be a lot easier presenting her story through a civil case.
Another thing to think about is the fact that 98% of civil cases DO NOT go to trial and always end in settlements. So this outcome was never a surpise from a legal standpoint as the endgame was MONETARY COMPENSATION. Which is why you file a civil lawsuit to begin with. Slip on wet floor? Civil lawsuit. Defamation? Civil lawsuit. Employer mistreating or discriminating an employee? Civil lawsuit. She exposed him to the world and got her money for the trauma she endured all those years.
Need to ask why a billionaire with an infinite amount of wealth and recourses wouldn't drag this through trial and countersue for defamation and prove she is lying. It wouldn't cost him anything. Cassie never wanted trial to begin with BUT she was prepared to with all the receiepts and evidence she had.
She didn't just sue him but bad boy records, bad boy entertainment, epic records and other companies associated with him that were in some way complicit. She was very smart.
And doing this protects her and her family because if anything happens to her now, we will all look at diddy. Her lawsuit is now public record and always will be.
If cassie was requesting money before she filed and he refused, what changed in 24hrs thay he decided to change his mind and settle after the fact? He didn't want more of his dirty laundry exposed and neither did the record labels. Lets not forget, he may be major shareholder, but he's not the ONLY shareholder with bad boy.
