I’m tempted to go all “internet” on you and question how many films with Jack in it that you’ve seen. However, we’ve all seen enough of that crap out of people. I think, our experiences are subjective and like food, we all like what we like. I have to agree that both those roles he absolutely killed. When they went to re-make The Shining all I could was laugh and ask why? To make some money? You had, the most legendary actor there was and Shelly Duval killed it as well. Why? Anyway, I digress. I loved, everything Jack has done, all my life. So much so that to pick a favorite is impossible for me. One flew over the Cukoos Nest, THe postman always rings (or never? i’m old, I forget, lol) twice, damn fine films. Anyway, good post. Jack has always been the man in my book.
@@TheJacklwilliams The Shining was my intro to Jack and the best that I could have asked for. I liked him also in The Terror with Boris Karloff and of course as the Joker. Easy Rider, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, A Few Good Men, As Good As It Gets and About Schmidt are my votes for his top five best films.
@ Agreed on all of the above! Honestly I can’t remember a damn thing I’ve seen with him in it that I didn’t like. Probably because in everything he’s “Jack”.
"One flew over the Cuckoos nest was a great ensemble supporting cast besides Nicholson. Christopher Lloyd. Danny DeVito, Louise Fletcher, Scatman Crothers, and Will Sampson were well known to me.Great Actor.
It's always interesting when an actor can stretch and play against type. One of Nicholson's lesser commented-upon films is "The King Of Marvin Gardens", where he plays a quieter, nerdish radio personality who has to deal with his more bombastic con artist, brother, played by Bruce Dern. It's a quieter performance from Nicholson than people are used to seeing. The movie was made during the early part of Nicholson's initial rise to prominence, 1972. Also, a really good biography on Nicholson is "Jack's Life." It's several years old, about 1994, but it's very informative. Also, that interview you showed was from an interview Nicholson did for British television. Interestingly, Nicholson refused to do interviews for American television, because he felt he was rejected by American TV, earlier in his career, when he was trying to get his foot in the door (according to "Jack's Life"). There are disparaging comments about television in some of his earlier films, such as "Five Easy Pieces." I temember reading that Jack refused to do interviews on American television, but would do them on foreign television. It was frustrating at the time, because I wanted to see the interviews, but was unable to, not living in the foreign countries. But now with the Internet, that barrier is no longer the case. Anyway, Nicholson would interview with other forms of American media, magazines such as Vanity Fair. Anyway, thank you very much for a really good presentation of Jack Nicholson.
As my movie watching goes back watching 7 decades of Great performances, I can say that Jack Nicholson has been one of my all time favorite actors! I don't ever remember being disappointed after watching one of his movies! I must also say that He gives a great Interview as shown in this video!
It was a little bizarre seeing Nicholson appear in an Andy Griffith Show episode. He was very young in that episode, this was probably two decades before “The Shining”.
That’s proof he had to work for his fame and glory unlike these modern moron actors who got funded to fame. Jack built his entire career brick by brick and that’s what makes him highly respected in the art of cinema
I really like Jack and his different roles he has done but my favorite is The Shining I think he really showcased how good he is, Thank you Facts Verse for The Narrator in this Video because I am so tired of BOTS or AI GENERATED VOICE.
He is a great actor just started flewing from the cuckoos nest as a wolf in china town n departed just a shining character his most powerful is his bow like eyebrows.
Did you know Jack Nicholson's car is worth millions? Find out what his collection is here: th-cam.com/video/kKvkLsYl1q8/w-d-xo.html
I think he did the BEST Joker and The Shining
Our favorites too! Thanks for sharing! We wish Jack all the best in life.,
Oh, and don't forget, before all of that: *"R.P. McMurphy."*
(One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest)

He is a moviestar even when in a bad movie we cannot help but enjoy him.

We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and have a great evening!☺
Jack Nicholson treated people working under him like they were humans. A rare quality among stars.
Jack Nicholson is one of the GOATS of all time. Love that man and his movies.
Absolutely! We feel the same way. Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. In your opinion, what is Jack's finest role?
I loved him in The Last Detail.
Jack Nicholson's honesty about his journey in Hollywood is so refreshing!
He told Warner Bros dont pay me for this Batman movie just give me a piece of the profits so he made 90 million dollars in 1990!
He is truly amazing. An icon in Hollywood. He has mellowed out, in retirement

You're very much welcome! We love The Shining too 👌👌
I remember hearing Robert Mitchum say once, actors are usually lazy and cant hold a real 40 hr a week job.
Come on grown up people, he’s an actor. He can turn on the tears on command. What you see on TV is not real.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Jack! Be safe and enjoy the rest of your evening.
HERES JOHNNY!! 😜

Wow.

A genius, IMHO. An actor who plays different characters and makes them believable in a way you forget it's Jack Nicholson if that makes sense.
