how do i make the db read only to users. tried doing permissions on the network but it's not working.

My database has a feature that can copy itself and apply some delete operations to create a new file with only the selected data that I want to share. After saving as accde, that vba code doesn't work anymore. It only works when the database is either Accdb or accdr. Any advice?

how can i revert it back to accdb?
