LBE Hackney interviews Jade Goodwin

Jade Goodwin is a First Nations illustrator from Australia whose vibrant, heartfelt illustrations have brought her a successful career in children’s publishing. With a passion for creativity and storytelling, Jade brings enchanting worlds to life through her sweet and colourful artwork.
In November 2021, Jade signed her first picture book contract with Penguin Random House, opening doors to collaborations with some of the industry’s top publishers, including HarperCollins, Hachette, Allen & Unwin, Magabala Books, Hardie Grant’s Bright Light, and Affirm Press.
In this interview, I sit down with Jade to discuss her journey into the industry, the time it took for her first book to reach shelves and the role that timing and opportunity can play in finding success as an illustrator.
