This was a good watch...an eye opener in some way. I see a problem and it's not about becoming a doctor. It's the process it takes to be a doctor in Nigeria.
That first girl, I love her points. The reason I love the US educational system as opposed to Nigeria's is the exposure and flexibility to navigate different fields and also can chnage majors without much stress.
I can just imagine the amount of sad medical students watching this and wishing they didn't enter in the first place. Y"all should just try your best and trust God. I wish you guys all the best. Thank you very much Dr. Busola for this video🤗.
Issa lie they are not sad😂 you think they are sad. Yes they are sad but the sadness is now joy to them which makes them happy everyday😂...you Gerrit? If u don Gerrit forget abourrit
I love how y'all are glowing 🤩.... Thanks for the advice. I am a 200lv med student so you can say am still a baby😅. Well I will do well to take the risk and share what is said here with others ☺️
20:10 EXACTLY i feel so much pressure rn i’m applying for university i’m 16 and I’m honestly not sure if i really want to spend 6-7years studying something i’m not even sure i want to spend my entire life doing
Please be careful when doing it at least you’re 16 and applying. So you will be 22 to 23 after 7 years. But here is mine little story. So I wanted to become a pediatric nurse (involving kids) I look at it very hmmm I have to spend extra 2 years in college cause I’m a junior now and 21 so spending extra two year will be 23to 24 when I graduate nursing school. Now after that one have to take the NCLEX exam for my state(Tennessee) to be certified now it’s very scary for that one imagining failing 3 times. Now after that 3 years in residency hospital I will be 27 to 30 before I finally can be able to work as a certified licensed nurse. That’s is literally my whole life studying my mental health won’t take it. I’m a woman I will need to marry and have kids before even 25. See? Then I realized nursing was so boring to me it wasn’t exciting to me at all. Then I changed my major this year to Child Development and family studies still didn’t take the fact it will stop me from dealing with kids I won’t just be a nurse(I even hate seeing blood and so on didn’t even know why choose it) now I will graduate when I’m 22-23 and will find job (which I’m looking for already and found a lot in my child development degree with 50k-60-70k annually) seee how I thought about it before going into the decision? I can even decide to do my masters when I graduate I’ll still be 23 to 24. With a husband and so on which won’t stop me without a kid. I’m glad I choose child development it doesn’t stop me from still doing what I wanna do besides I can still work and find a job in the medical, clinics field social services and so on. Sorry it’s long
If you’re coming into medical school or you wish to get in: 1) I hope this is what you want 2) Even then, there’d be some not-so-good days. Be mentally ready for them. 3) Your seniors are part of the cheat codes you need to survive. Take the advantage 🥴🥴 Learn from the gems here: th-cam.com/video/ukm3WczncS8/w-d-xo.html Remember it's not about being "intelligent" . Rooting for you ✌🏽✌🏽
to the lady who said administration. She could do Healthcare administration which is still in line with healthcare but the bussiness and magerial side of healthcare. that's my degree btw
Beautiful. Happy to see you all graduating well. I guess there should be passion. Interests and commitment. Medical school here in the US is looonggggg😭 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of med school, 3- 5 years of residency. But I won't have it any other way. Medicine all the way
Hi hi I think it's not too late to go into tech. Learning what is necessary and getting the necessary skills, then merging with what you studied in school 😊😊 Even people da studied other courses are saying they don't want to come back 😂😂😂
I thank God I didn't get admission into MBBS... I got admission for PHYSIOLOGY, BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES.... 4 YEARS COURSE.. JAPA.. SHARP SHARP.. GRAPHIC DESIGN
Hi Semilore,Dental school in OAU is very tedious. Not only do you have to know your stuff, you'd have to be very skillful with your hands. If you love the course though, you would endure the stress.

Most young people who want to read medicine should watch this.
We chose medicine too early without knowing what it would take from us.
Yepp. And it takes A LOT from us
