Was curious if you could do one on updating something like the fruit_tp or help me out with trying to get it over to FS22. I am glad that someone is taking the time to help others to learn new things and to be able to update mods that are forgotten about.
Actually,i just found this out. You can just simply take the stuff thats in FS19's data folder (without vehicles and store folders) and just slap it into FS 22's data folder and thus you no longer need to fix specular map locations. I dunno about Steam version,as my games are physical CDs,but i think it will work.
So the clearglass01_d.dds has been changed in FS22 to clearglass_d.dds. Those are the changes you will find when converting. some manual work is required

The category and mod change name scripts do cause an issue. If you have them in the mod and close the game through the menu. The game will crash instead of going to the main menu. In the log you will get an that reads “WARNING: object ref is invalid for resolving to script method target object” LUA
That makes sense, never noticed it till you mentioned it. However such a simple error to deal with for now if it don't mess with my game. thanks for the info

Hey lambo i have a question, so i have successfully converted 4 mods myself. 2020 gmc at4, added a few things to that. And then a 2016 high country. And 2 rams... i then went and did my own. From blender to g.e i used a bed from another mod but cab was me...i did xml...and mod desc. Its giving me a code for XML ERROR...mismatched element... and it also says..line 2... vehicle type... ive changed it to car... to truck.. silverado... Chevrolet... getting nothing i cant figure it out

I'm trying to convert a asphalt paver from 19. I did the auto convert with giants software. The mod does show up in store but the game locks up while attempting to purchase. I do have a few errors but I have no clue how to fix.
Ok so I have my tractor in game, yes with a long list of warnings lol, but how do I get a hold of one of the mods with a built transmission and how do you handle the sounds for the tractor as you said in this video they were diferent but I cant find info out there that covers it. There's a greenhouse that has a 200k l tank and now a free water fill pump, I just put the new pump by the greenhouse and used the 30k l tanker to fill them up, will last a very long time.

I’m getting codes that say it fails to compile shader. Can I just steal a shader from the in game truck or is there a way to fix this. Most of the model dosent show up
Mod it as if you were gonna put it in fs19... then do these steps. The shader.. dont change it at all. If you do... it dont work for now. But the new GE is out so i need to study a bit
Means the rims textures are there. The wheels are being called in via xml. Look for a wheel.i3d of some type in your mod. And make sure the i3d has the textures just like we did with the main i3d.

I was converting a Cruiser mod into FS22 - worked great from the start until loading until a save. Here's the log: 2021-11-26 15:19 Error: C:/Users/user2/Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2022/mods/EXP22_Toyota_LC_VDJ76/Toyota_VDJ76.xml. Error=XML_ERROR_MISMATCHED_ELEMENT ErrorID=14 (0xe) Line number=417: XMLElement name=attacherJointConfigurations. I deleted line 417, didn't make any difference. Got any help?
@@Trigger4589 You could try many things, but with my knowledge, I believe it could just be a corrupt texture, or .DDS file somewhere within the mod, or game itself. The same happened to me. I didnt have modding experience at the time, but a simple reinstall fixed that for me. In your situation however, I would look into textures. Now, I am not certain that's what it could be, I am just tossing an idea out there if you haven't already looked into it.
A lot of good info. Now that version 9 is released is it possible to get an updated coversion tut? Doesnt have to be the dire truck, but since your still working on it maybe it can be used again? Again Kudos to the work putting these vids out.
if you open a fs19 mod in 9 its not gunna show because shaders textures ect are all old, switch them to new files and it will show pull files from fs22 shared and shaders folders.
Please, keep these coming. Want to try porting over certain mods so this is gonna be a major help if it works.

i got giants editor 9 but i set my instalation path and open a mod and its not popping up its invisible and ive tried everything
Shaders do that... play with the shaders till you find something..

Try to locate that request line in the vehicle xml and put a / between porscheDiesel. I think it messed up and skipped that.

Inside the game directory fs22/data/vehicles. You will find alot of XML you can look at in that folder

Remove specialization "cabsteering" from the vehicle type in the modDesc

In your game settings, you can turn vehicles off for automatic start/stop to manual
Like actual game menu's, hit pause and scroll to your game vehicle settings.
When I go to open the mod desc.xml it gives me numbers and letters and parentheses and 36,000 lines of them

How exactly do I get to my xml files like you did mine looks nothing like that
Do you have FS22? Then go to farmsimulator22/ Data/vehicles/lizard/pickup1986.xml and get your very open copy of the code silly. :)

Honestly yes and no... a few some upgrades, but also I see fs19 tractors did have more code in their xml. Once GE9 comes out we will know

Looks like an issue with attacher joints now, compare what u got to a working one... tons of xmls in your games folder

when i load up a mod in v9.0.1 it does not show up but throws up lots of errors. not sure if im missing something
if you open a fs19 mod in 9 its not gunna show because shaders textures ect are all old, switch them to new files and it will show pull files from fs22 shared and shaders folders.
