I can't keep silent any longer. For decades I lingered under the delusion that the movie industry was just reductive, repetitive, dumbed down garbage. I have watched tons of review sites and it seemed like no one else had the same taste in entertainment. I stumbled across this channel a few weeks ago and damn it, I am so glad I did. I FINALLY, FINALLY found someone with good taste in movies that could consistently deliver great recommendations. But most importantly you showed me I was completely wrong. Yeah a lot of main stream media sucks but if you dig, there still exist well thought out, directed and interesting flicks to watch. I want to say thank you so much for what you do. Keep up the great work.
Word , I only watch movies from 2010 and under , you know 90'S 80'S ND 70s But this guy got me watching some newer movies and they are good and not re-dones. Like already did. Like youtube comments everyone just re-does or re-$ays wat everyone else says If everyone stopped copying and started being more original Tings would be more fun.
My wife and I have always had a love for horror since we were kids. But because of lack of money in marketing for most of the low budget horror; it feels next to impossible to find one of the millions (it feels like) that are worth watching. Your channel should be much bigger than it is because you are truly fulfilling a much needed service! You have given my wife and I so many great nights of movies to remember! Thank you!
Well, spread the word. Tell everyone you know that has the same yen for a "It'll make you shit your pants" type of movie to give his channel a gawp. I do; but I'm polite enough to only tell others about Mr. Becker and his wonderful channel if the thread is discussing horror/monster flicks already.
I totally agree, I’m a lifelong Horror aficionado so it starts to feel like I’ve seen everything. When I want to find a hidden gem I end up having to wade through so much shite I just give up after a while. I’m always so stoked when he covers something I haven’t seen. Thank you, Kainan!!
My wife passed away almost 2 years ago and it's been a blessing to find your channel. She loved Japanese horror. Your channel along with some other ones, have been a great find for me. Keep at it Ghost Pirate.
I absolutely LOVED Dave Made A Maze. Such a fun and creative movie with everything (even blood effects!) made out of cardboard. It’s also one of the few horror movies that both small kids and adults can enjoy (there’s a lot of Adult inside jokes here!) Infinity Chamber is also equally creative. It was filmed literally in the directors house, with virtually no budget, and using props from junkyards, dumpsters, dollar stores etc. thanks for highlighting these two.
I went to the movie theater to see it. I said to some people I was going to the movies on my day off. They asked me what I was going to see. I told them. There was quiet after.
Omg! Freeway! I love this movie! I'd forgotten about it! Of course leave it to you to bring it up! Wow! Everyone who loves horror needs to watch Freeway!
Dave Made A Maze was the best "small movie" I've seen in a long time. Goes to show you why creativity will always trump budget. I wish I could do something like that with all of the Amazon boxes that I have.
Wow, there's a bunch of these I haven't seen! My favorite that I did see was "Daniel Isn't Real." Or wait, maybe the "The Collector" because it is incredibly dark. I guess I'll rewatch those, too, lol! Thanks, Kainan!
The Collector is really good. I love how it incorporates the anti hero type of character in the lead. The character development in The Collector and in The Passenger is excellent
The Collector is awesome, saw it theatrically and loved the 16 millimeter film stock The sequel was shot on video and that just took me out of it completely.
Great list! I love Freeway! And The Collector, so good. I rewatched Life recently. I love it. Plus a few I haven't seen, even. I put them on my list. You're my favorite TH-cam horror movie reviewer. 😁
I just watched Freeway last week and yes it's a fun ride for sure. Another oldie that I just watched was Demonseed from 1977...scary how the AI smart home and mRna technology was talked about then. Great list and thank you!
"Life" is probably my favorite on this list. It had one of the most unique creature feature concepts I've seen (the hand crushing scene will stick with you). Sadly, I think the big-name actors (as briefly as one of them was even in it) being attached to this hidden gem hurt it more than they helped.
I’m obsessed with Kyle Gallner!! I absolutely LOVE him!! And I love everything he is in….I’m still wondering why Nightmare on Elm Street with him in it wasn’t more liked!! You have him, Rooney Mara, and Jackie Earle Hayley…what more can you want!!?? But when I saw him in that and A Haunting in Connecticut I knew he’d be a huge star one day!!
Awesome video. There are a couple on here I've seen... a few times😁 Also a heads up about a couple of movies on your list. The sequel to The Collector, The Collection is also available to Prime members for free. I also saw there is a sequel to Freeway. It's called Freeway 2 and if I read the description correctly it's by the same guy who did the first one, and it's also free to Prime members. Keep up the great work and recommendations.👍🤟 Take Care and Stay Safe.
I can’t believe Freeway got a shout out. Fantastic movie. Anyone who watched it when it came out knew Reese Witherspoon was going to be huge. Her performance is really top notch
I just saw "Dark Harvest" and i loved it, so creative, amazing acting, unexpected twists and a great ending!! one of the best horror movies i have seen lately.
Word , I only watch movies from 2010 and under , you know 90'S 80'S ND 70s But this guy got me watching some newer movies and they are good and not re-dones. Like already did. Like youtube comments everyone just re-does or re-$ays wat everyone else says If everyone stopped copying and started being more original Tings would be more fun.
great list, pirate. i appreciate the fact you specify what service(s) are carrying these movies, it's an excellent feature of your channel. many thanks! 🙏👍
I've seen most of the movies on this list but every time that happens I'm just reminded why I love your channel so much. Definitely one of my favourites for recommendations! There's always at least a couple I've not seen before and get excited about checking them out. 🤟🤟
Thanks for your recommendations. You are always spot on with your descriptions. I go to you whenever i need to find some good horror, which, these days, is quite hard. I was super surprised at Dark Harvest. Great choice.
You look amazing every day! I look forward to your reveal on each reaction. But today, your eye makeup is distractingly simple yet stunning. Just had to share. 😍 I look forward to your reactions like a television program. I wish you success for all the hard work that you do. Thank you! 🙏
Timothee’s name is actually pronounced “tim-o-tay. It’s French and he says no one in the U.S says it correctly. I didn’t either until I heard him talk about it LOL Amazing list btw!
Love your passion and energy for great horror! ❤ I watched The Passenger, and what a fantastic indie thriller. Simple, gritty, with a top-notch cast and cinematography. Good stuff! Watched Bones and All last year… one of my faves… and surely the best Timothee Chalamet performance of all time. I actually have Freeway in my movie collection. What a blast from the past, and a big nudge to revisit it again. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Just watched Life, as per your suggestion, had seen the cover art on streaming platforms, but never gave it a try until now. It was SO GOOD! Subscribed!
Infabric looks so sick! Im definitely into tales from the cript i own every series and im a huge fan of the Twilight zone and just the way the scenes look on this film.
Sorry I guess I didn't catch that video. Love your channel I watch a lot of your vids and you have turned me on to a ton of good flicks. Thank you for the service you provide sir.
"Dave Made a Maze" is so great ... I watched it awhile back... Really enjoyed it. 'Bones and All" is good and worth a watch ... Be prepared... It gets nuts.
Great vid GP!!! I watched two films over the weekend.. Firstly, a film called Rubber! What a ride!! Secondly, Brick with Joseph Gordon Levitt.. Good weekend!!!! Keep up the good work mate... Love from England, Derby.
As always loving your recommendations! I haven’t watched Freeway since it came out. I was working at the movie rental place in my hometown when it was released and got to take it home before we put it out for rent. Man this movie effed me up! Don’t get me wrong I was obsessed with it and watched it on repeat 😂 I’m going to go watch it now!
Ok I might edit this bc I’m mid video, but I have never heard of ‘The Passenger’ (and I always seem to know every movie TH-camrs recommend 😆😒) and it looks awesome! So thank you…That’s just one of the reasons you are one of the best horror movie reviewers etc. ❤️🔥 Edit: ‘Infinity Chamber’, once again, never heard of it and will definitely check it out!
Jesus! Just searched Prime to add them to my list, they have a ton of horror flicks. I saw ShockWave , which I will give a honorable mention for some campy old school horror.
I saw Dave made a maze a while ago. Always a good recommendation. I read somewhere that when they were making it they could only do one room scene at a time. They would build the room, shoot it and then tear it down to reuse the cardboard for the next room.
SO!! We just saw the Collector!! 2009!!! That many years ive been without this Gem. I absolutely love the bad guy.... his eyes are so good!!! I love glowy eyes that seem insect/alien like!! So they made a second one right? The collection? Do u recommend that one? Im going to watch it and make my guy watch it to. He was very u comfortable and didnt like the Scenes in the 1st one but he is ultra sensitive right now. He didnt used to be. I on the other hand loved the Scenes..thought they were done surprising well...tje quality was so good...for 2009. Better than new stuff now! Anywho THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK YOU PUT INTO YOUR CHANNEL. Your the only reviewer i watch now. Since i dont have much time to watch a ton of movies... the ones you recc always are winners w me. So your my one stop shop forever❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I just rewatched your video , and I have wanted to see Infinity Chamber for a long time. You mentioning Mark Rylance may just get me to watch Bobes and All. He is a great a actor.
The Collector / The Collection has always been part of my underground favorites. I was heartbroken to learn we weren't getting The Collected or whatever. Last I saw, the director just stopped hearing from anyone, they wouldn't return his calls, and most of the props had been stolen. It kind of reminds me of all that behind the scenes crap that killed the US The Girl Who Played with Fire / Kicked the Hornet's Nest. JoeBob did Freeway if you have Shudder. It's phenomenal.
Wow I've only seen one of these, Dark Harvest, which was great. Thank you again my friend for more awesome films to add to my watch list. I also just watched Ghostwatch. 🤔I'm tryna think... did I watch Bones And All from a previous recommendation of yours? Either way, I watched it and loved it... thanks again. And Daniel Isn't Real is awesome! Stumbled on it and was pleasantly surprised
Dude I feel you with jonesing for Halloween to get here. I start counting down the days till next Halloween the day after Christmas! I hate spring and summer. I especially can’t wait for terrifier 3 this Christmas!
I remember finding Life at a dollar store a few years ago and popped it in one night and was highly entertained! I let a friend barrow Freeway on vhs and he was blown away😜Bones and all/The Passenger are on my video store list lol👍
Yes Pumpkinhead meets The Purge is exactly how I would describe dark Harvest. I just went through Prime and added a bunch of movies to my queue now I have to go back and add a few more. Plus HBO Max has a huge selection of A24 movies right now. I have a massive backlog of movies to watch right now
I was gutted that there wasn't a 3rd follow up movie to The Collector. Fantastic movies, so well executed. "Marianne" is another favourite of mine. One of the best horror series I have seen and the 2nd season was cancelled. I still live in hope!
I love Kyle Gallner in everything he does; even in Jennifer’s Body he’s great! I discovered him in The Shield and he was absolutely brilliant! Also, Bones and All was great! Oh and Freeway… so good! Life was amazing, pretty unpredictable compared to most sci-fi movies.

I am too picky about any movie, I just watched Ricky Stanicky, a movie that just wouldn’t stop

One of the best channels out here , extremely informative and entertaining.
My wife passed away almost 2 years ago and it's been a blessing to find your channel. She loved Japanese horror. Your channel along with some other ones, have been a great find for me. Keep at it Ghost Pirate.

I'm with you "Bones and All" was really ignored for how fantastic it was . I was really suprised on how good it was !
I went to the movie theater to see it. I said to some people I was going to the movies on my day off.
They asked me what I was going to see. I told them.
There was quiet after.
Freeway is sublime.....the "you're gonna kill me THEN rape me? You're sick, Bob" was to die for.
I watched that with Joe Bob's Last Drive in, really wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. Real genre roadtrip lmao
LOL.... I literally just finished BONES AND ALL 2 hours ago.... Really enjoyed it.... Timothee Chalamet is shaping up as a hell of an actor.......
Yess! I agree Timothee is great!
freeway was the best serial killer movie i have ever seen , laugh out loud moments to glad you included that one
This is my favorite Movie review channel. Keep up the great work 👍 👏
Omg I LOVE Bones and All!!! And I agree the cast is stellar; and the chemistry between Timothee and Taylor is unmatched! Such an awesome flick!!
Omg! Freeway! I love this movie! I'd forgotten about it! Of course leave it to you to bring it up! Wow! Everyone who loves horror needs to watch Freeway!
Good to come across a list of not obvious movies once in a while, congrats.
Dave Built A Maze is a delight.
Dave Made A Maze was the best "small movie" I've seen in a long time. Goes to show you why creativity will always trump budget. I wish I could do something like that with all of the Amazon boxes that I have.
Exactly same with AI
Wow, there's a bunch of these I haven't seen! My favorite that I did see was "Daniel Isn't Real." Or wait, maybe the "The Collector" because it is incredibly dark. I guess I'll rewatch those, too, lol! Thanks, Kainan!

I really wish they were making a third one
@@deannabretz310 so do I!

Freeway is one of my absolute favorite movies! Her laughing when he rolled into court in the wheelchair all jacked up 😂😂

Sadly, I think the big-name actors (as briefly as one of them was even in it) being attached to this hidden gem hurt it more than they helped.
Fine movie until ruined by stupid ending. "Noooo......."
Nice! I'm very curious to see what list of horror movies you've put together this time.. thanks in advance for sharing!
I will have to see A Haunting in CT, now. I loved the Passenger. I really don't want to see Smile, but I may have to see it.
Thanks as always for the info!

Dark Harvest is great, The twist I never saw coming, wild ride and fun as helll.
Man...'LIFE' blew me away. I was not expecting that. The Monster is one of the scariest!!
Absolutely LOVE "Life"
Dark Harvest on Prime! Hell Yeah, 'bout time! Thanks GPE! Great book by Norman Partridge, perfect Halloween read.
Thanks for telling me about the maze movie. I saw it years ago, but forgot about it. It's a blast.

HELL YEAH to Dave Made A Maze!!! Great hidden gem, fun & so original visually
Infabric looks so sick! Im definitely into tales from the cript i own every series and im a huge fan of the Twilight zone and just the way the scenes look on this film.
For anyone who hasn't seen Midnight Meat Train it is also on prime. I know the title is stupid but it's an excellent movie. Stars Bradley Cooper.
Yes IT’s excellent! I’ve talked about it on here many times
Sorry I guess I didn't catch that video. Love your channel I watch a lot of your vids and you have turned me on to a ton of good flicks. Thank you for the service you provide sir.

The descent on prime wanted to mention is a great horror flick to check out also 🎉
Dave Made a Maze is super fun. Not for everyone, odd and silly, but unique and fun for sure.
I went to cinema with some friends few years ago and talked them into we had to select 'Life' man it's a good one
I appreciate your.video so much & I'm sure I am not the only one!! Thank you for all your work!👍❤

JoeBob did Freeway if you have Shudder. It's phenomenal.
Dave made a maze is one of the greatest suprises I have ever found!
Wow I've only seen one of these, Dark Harvest, which was great. Thank you again my friend for more awesome films to add to my watch list.
I also just watched Ghostwatch. The story behind this movie and the chaos it caused is unreal. I'm amazed i didn't know about this film until recently. A BBC made for TV film that aired on Halloween night 1992 in the UK. It caused quite the stir as many people thought it was real. Movie was good, but the ripple effects it caused was even more interesting.
thanks buddy .....new list
I can’t praise Bones and All enough to friends to actually get them to watch it. I’ve seen it three times now and it will probably be a fourth since you talked about it here and now I want to watch it again. Loved the ending, pissed me off in a great way.
Darn. I was doing chores (for my wife) and missed the premere.
Great suggestions. I found a few to watch. Thanks!
No premier yet this is a early release for members
Great list! Relic was the one and only horror movie that made me legit bawl my eyes out.

I love Dave Made a Maze! So much fun
Some excellent recommendations here. Going to watch Dark Harvest tonight 👍
Thanks again for the recommendations, you've become my favorite horror move channel.

Yeah I’ve mentioned it before
Lol ok... so I definitely watched it because of you. Thanks 😁😁😁😁

Yeah I did a Max video back when they first added those. Sadly they haven’t updated there horror selection in months
@@GhostPirateEntertainment yeah they haven't been adding anything good in any genre lately, but thanks for another video
I just got Prime, Thank you for this vid.
Freeway 2 was also out of this world!😮
I loved Dave Made a Maze. So fun!
I love that picture of you wow really cool the one behind you 🙏❤️
See Dave Made a Maze for sure!! As well as The Passenger. Gallner is great. Def watch Daniel Isn't Real.
Keep up the good work!
I was gutted that there wasn't a 3rd follow up movie to The Collector. Fantastic movies, so well executed. "Marianne" is another favourite of mine. One of the best horror series I have seen and the 2nd season was cancelled. I still live in hope!
Have you covered Eden Lake? Incredible flick!
Yes! Freeway!! Have you seen Ejecta? The end kills me!!!
This list was kick ass!
I seen fear when it came out i love that movie! Also her movie Fear was another great one!
The Collector is an awesome movie!!!!about every 6 months I watch it again!..lol
