I always enjoy the stalking part, but I thought Cai's choice of calibre for a fallow was a little, large 30-06 is I feel a bit big, like cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer. I use 243Win on reds up to 400Yds and I don't use sticks either, NZ stalking is very different. It's time hunters started using thermal spotters, they are so useful to find animals your eyes cannot see! But another piece of advice, get one with a rangefinder in it, because then it's one bit of kit you don't have to carry as well, plus it also saves a lot of time. Great to see another initiative getting more women into fieldsports, irrespective of which one(s) they go for. I for one will be sad to see Hunting TH-cam go but all good things come to an end, except of course the News Stump. I'm looking forward to the new format.
Because the indiscriminate slaughter of wildlife is horrendous and the whole gamebird industry has completely wrecked the ecosystem,if you need anything else clearing up just ask.
