The rule says that if Dumfries touches the ball with his head before his hand than it is not foul. Are you 100% sure that he doesn't? On the gol not given to Barca I dont even see what you are discussing: even if the touch is accidental, in case of goal, it is foul, no matter if he did it intentionally or not.

It's amazing that VAR didn't see the handball, if they had exactly the same angles as we saw live in the match. I think the 3rd angle we saw, definitely showed the ball changing direction and its spin when it met his hand.

This is sad to see, what we call the biggest sport in the world having such crucial blunders. This is not the first time that VAR decisions have been absurd, I am sure this won't be the last. Errors can definitely happen, but with so much cameras around, infinite replays and such clear cut evidences, not at all acceptable. The consequence of this can be huge, knocking out barca in the group stage.

Had to revisit this one year later. Now in 2023-24 season, referees are giving hand balls left and right for absolutely nothing (even being deflected onto the arm, in a natural position, from less than one meter away is given as a penalty, eg Newcastle vs PSG). Yet this handball by Dumfries, which travels a good 20 meters in the air before contact and it literally takes the ball off of Ansu Fati’s head, wasn’t given as a handball. It’s just atrocious and unacceptable from the rulemakers and referees.

Being a footballer of his status he should've known (and i'm talking about the first question) that it's not about ur intent but whether you have changed the course of the ball's movement 'outside ur silhouette". It's not that you wanted to hurt someone that gets you yellow card (even though that does also give u yellow card), but mainly how dangerous and "illegal' in the sense that you'd never have got the ball yet you still attacked that makes you foul a foul (that's the same with kicking your foot too high to show the nails under or cutting way too late and not touch the ball).

On the gol not given to Barca I dont even see what you are discussing: even if the touch is accidental, in case of goal, it is foul, no matter if he did it intentionally or not.
Just to be clear, for me it doesn't touch the head, so it should have been penalty.

It's amazing that VAR didn't see the handball, if they had exactly the same angles as we saw live in the match. I think the 3rd angle we saw, definitely showed the ball changing direction and its spin when it met his hand.

Now in 2023-24 season, referees are giving hand balls left and right for absolutely nothing (even being deflected onto the arm, in a natural position, from less than one meter away is given as a penalty, eg Newcastle vs PSG). Yet this handball by Dumfries, which travels a good 20 meters in the air before contact and it literally takes the ball off of Ansu Fati’s head, wasn’t given as a handball. His arms at that height isn't careless. It's the natural position and the woman hasn't a clue. Correct decision and the same thing with the disallowed goal, which should have stood.

Dumfries was borderline cause how wide from his body and it get's overturned by the fact that he changed the direction of the ball and hindered a clear goalscoring situation by Ansu. if he doesn't clear with his hand. It is a free header for Ansu. Barca got f over twice.But the worst part is the inconsistency in the game. If you disallow the first goal for handball than you have to give a pen for dumfries the least cause dumfries is even worse and a clear pen. The ref/var didn't give it because as they claimed " they thought" it hit Ansus hand not Dumfries. Which is ridiculous lie. Everyone and their mother saw it was dumfries. It is hard to not believe this was done with bad intention to hurt Barca. Going completely by the rules it os 1:1 + a pen on top for Barca

Pedri's goal was valid and it was handball and clear penalty, it also was red card on a player who commited a tackle on Busquets, and another clear penalty on Lewandowski when he was ready to shoot at goal... Strange thing, it's the same referee that couldn't see the clear penalty on Dembelé during the game against Bayern Munich when it was still 0-0 !! And strangest thing is the similar penalty that he didn't see during Inter-Barça that this time yes HE SAW during the game Roma-Betis!!! That is more than suspicious!!!🤢🤢🤢

@@mosespelican3507 The decision to take the goal away isn't a definite wrong one, Fati did touch the ball and he impacted the play, you could see why they called it like that
The second one is a definite penalty.
That being said, I wouldn't say the refs were out to get you, they also called out Inter on borderline offsides and little decisions earlier in the game.
To me they got one big decision wrong and I understand the frustration, but I wouldn't call it a robbery
