Yeah, I figured they're quicker than doing a tutorial for everything. This way you can all get learning right away, then I'll do some tutorials on certain parts rather than the whole thing.

damn. all these tabs you make are great. you should do covers and put them on rocksmith 2014. there are actually a couple of other DGD songs there. I use it a lot to learn songs i want to. you would be perfect for putting songs there.

Thanks! Yeah, the intro is difficult, but that is both guitar parts played as one. If you either play the top part or the bottom part it will work =)

Rachel Lynn Thanks 😀 There is a strategy yeah. Theyre all strung and set up differently and they all sound different, so i choose the one that does the best job of doing what I need it to do. The one I'm playing in this video is strung and set up for drop tuning (this song is tuned down to C#), plus it has lovely sounding coil-tapped Seymour Duncans for the clean stuff. So there is a definite method to the guitar choosing 😁

Thanks man. It's just for muting purposes. I kept getting an incurable harmonic on t the intro from one of the chord stretches, so used it to help tidy it up a bit.

XS0780 Hey dude. I work out all my covers by ear, there aren't tabs out there for most of them anyway, but I do it partly to help develop my ear even further and partly because it means I play everything in a way that really suits my fingers. there's nothing worse that trying to play something exactly like someone else when there may be another way that fits your fingers properly. I plan on doing a video on my method from start to finish, I just need the right song and a good amount of time to break it down properly. I think it'll be a difficult video to make. But it's on my list 😀
Oh man, I am already looking forward to that video. I am trying to stay away from tabs and work out songs by ear, but it can get a bit tedious, especially when it comes to harder songs(figuring out exotic/non-common chords, or chords in general, is the bane of my existence). Thanks for the reply dude, I will stay in tune, patiently waiting for that video.

Tyler Burns no it's just a string rap. I think it's for muting and string tension or something

It's a GruvGear string wrap jobby. I used it on the intro because of the stretches, I kept getting an annoying little harmonic wen I played one of the chords. This little device just helps mute the strings to clean things up a bit. This is the first time I've used one, only got it the other day. Not a bad piece of kit really, don't want to use it often though, don't want to become reliant on it for muting.
Mikerisms I've seen a lot of people use it for tapping, if I want to get into tapping should I get one?
Tyler Burns It's definitely a useful tool for muting the other strings when tapping. But, I wouldn't recommend getting one if you're just starting out with tapping. I think it will probably hinder your technique so you'll end up relying on it, so when ever you play a guitar without one on it'll sound awful because you've not developed the skills to mute on your own. If you see what I mean.
