I always say the stars collided and formed Forestella. I fell down the rabbit hole about a year ago and still can’t get enough of them. There is a 3 part series on TH-cam called Forestory. It shows their journey in phantom singer. Thanks for all your wonderful reactions ❤
One of the Phantom Singer 2 judges also said that. The greatest achievement of Phantom Singer 2 was the team combination of the four Forestellas. Even though the four had only recently formed a team, the harmony between the four was amazing. I really feel fortunate that the four of us became one team.
Thanks for your fantastic reaction to Forestella again! They had 4 songs in the Phantom Singer 2 audition. But as you said, this song il Mirto e la Rosa was rarely reacted. I saw few reactions to it. This is one of my yet-to-hear it in live, I badly wanna see someday. (And some more they never have sung in live like Wildflower, Stand by me, 딴따라 블루스 TtanTtaRa Blues, the Private's Letter, Chosen One, Snow Globe, and Stuck in a Maze, etc.) After winning Phantom Singer 2, they presented many Immortal Songs episodes. There's a compilation video which has ALL their Immortal Songs stages in chronomical order. It has even geoblocked videos elsewhere. As it was made before Forestella performed The legends never die, it doesn't have Despacito, trio version of Hijo de la Luna and the Show must go on. But please check it to see what you were missing.
They had been put together by the judges only 4 weeks before this performance. The 1st song put them in 3rd place, this performance voted them 1st place entering the grand final. The competed against Miraclass and Edel Reinklang (2 other quartets). They were formed and won Phantom Singer 2, the only other competitions really entered is Immortal Song 2 were they hold several records mostly the King of Kings (6 times winners, consecutively). They have also not lost in the 1st round of immortal songs for over 27 visits, another record.

Cho MinGyu sang Be My Love, Kang HyungHo sang The Phantom of the Opera (it was sensational and still is, reaching 10M views in TH-cam even geoblocked. His audition video has the maximum views from all the Phantom Singer videos) , Ko WooRim sang 별 헤는 밤 the Night of Counting Stars, Bae DooHoon sang Defying Gravity. 2. And 1vs1 sang in a duet. Randomly matched by picking pair-numberd balls. 3. 2vs2 duet match. They could choose their duet partners. (They got scores to rank.) MinGyu & WooRim sang L'immensitá and won to DooHoon & Julian Kim (world class opera star who took the protagonista role in Italian opera theater, later he became the leader of Miraclass.) 4. Trio round. MinGyu and WooRim drafted DooHoon as their trio member. They named the team Trephyton (tre is 3 in Italian, phyton from phytoncide, they wanted to refresh and comfort the audience like phytoncide trees with their song). Trephyton sang Dell'amore non si sa and HyungHo sang 꽃병 a Flower Vase in the trio Booster. 5. The 1st quartet round. Only top 3 trios could keep the trio members, Trepython was the 3rd. So they could keep their members and drafted Sime Kosta, a Croatian Kpop main vocal even though Julian Kim wanted to join. They named their 1st quartet as Forest. Four phytoncide trees became forest. They got the 1st place with Radioactive. HyungHo sang the Prayer in the Night in the quartet Lilac. The benefit for the winners from the 1st quartet round was all members surviving from elimination. 6. Random quartet round. All the teams were disbanded and made new quartet by picking same colored balls. MinGyu and HyungHo picked green balls. They teamed up with Han Tain (later he became the bass of Miraclass.) and Ahn HyunJoon (Sports announcer who majored in classical vocal, eliminated in this random quartet round.), they named Born to Sweet and sang Sweet Dreams of Eurythmics. Ko WooRim sang la Vita in the team Vita 600, won the random quartet round. Bae DooHoon sang A Thousands years in the team Legends of the autumn. Sime Kosta was eliminated in the random quartet round. 7. Voting for the wishlists of members. As far MinGyu said, Forestella members were as he wished. Surprisingly, HyungHo voted none of Forestella members. (The audience in their final round heard nobody but MinGyu voted HyungHo as a wishing member. It's not aired so only a few people know it.) 8. 3 finalist groups confirmed. Edel Reinklang maintained the same members in the 1st quartet round, each voted 3 members other than himself and became a team again. Zo HyungGyun is the leader, a musical actor. Lee ChoongJoo is a musical actor who majored in classical vocal. Ahn SeKwon is a classically trained tenor who missed the chance to go Asia's Got Talent because of his Phantom Singer 2 quartet schedule. Kim DongHyun is a classically trained bass who studied classical vocal in Germany. Forestella had the members from Trephyton and HyungHo joined. They changed their quartet name from Forest to Forestella for welcoming HyungHo as a star. Miraclass was named of miracle + class. Julian Kim (Kim JooTaek) is the leader, Park KangHyun is a musical actor. Jeong Philip is a classically trained tenor and he sang Parla piu piano with HyungHo in the 2vs2 duet match. Han Tain is a classically trained bass. WooRim was jealous of Tain because MinGyu seemed very friendly with Tain when they were preparing the random quartet round as Born to Sweet. (MinGyu, Tain and WooRim are from SNU and they knew each other back then the Phantom Singer 2 audition)
9. The 1st final round with audience. Forestella sang In un'altra vita and Maldita sea mi suerte. 10. The 2nd final round with texting votes (by domestic cell phones) Forestella sang In un eterno addio and il Mirto e la Rosa, finally won the Phantom Singer 2. Almost every opera singer knew each other because they had met in some concours quite often, and almost every musical actor also knew each other for their works throughout every Phantom Singer series. So there was almost no toxic reaction or disrespectful behaviors among them even they were competing against.

In the 2-on-2 contest, Cho MinGyu & Ko WooRim teamed up, while Bae DooHoon and Kang Hyungho teamed up with others. Because actually you have already reacted to quite a few already. Immortal songs episodes including the King of Kings episodes are, with the exception of 2 or 3, all competitions . Then there is the JTBC Phantom Singer All Stars series where all the winners from the Phantom Singer seasons 1 to 3 ie 9 groups came together to compete again. Probably some others I’m not aware of, so if someone can add to the list…or perhaps provide a list of what they entered and which ones they won…❤ *Miraclass came 2nd and Edel Reinklang came 3rd in season 2.
Google immortal songs and check out Wikipedia page. At the bottom you can find all episodes, who competed and who won. They hold two records. Undefeated in their first round. However they did not always win the show. Also most wins in king of kings. They won 5 consecutive times ❤
