Spot on about Ndiaye and his ability to make things happen, it’s no coincidence that the style of play improves with him in the team. It’s footballers who are on the pitch and just like Dyche wasn’t to blame for the lack of talent he’s not to praise for Ndiaye’s ability either. It’s why I always scoffed at people turning their noses up at Adama Traore from his lack of goals, he can single handedly get his team up the pitch, same with Ndiaye.
I though I turned on the wrong channel today as it was all about something really good to talk about / it been a long time since a positive things to say up toffees 😊
In hindsight it looks like Farhad somehow managed to convince Textor to do what he did to try to hurry the Friedkon deal. From the start, I thought it was weird Textor was talking up an asset he was supposedly willing to buy, potentially inflating the price. The President of the USA stuff though was just farcical. Also farcical was the idea Textor could easily unload his Palace shares. Well played, Mr Moshiri! (Now bugger off.)
Cautious optimism sums me up really. I think we’ve dodged a bullet by not getting into bed with 777 further or with Textor. Fingers crossed anyway. By the way, this show should be renamed “Tea Time with Matt and Paddy” 😂
i'll be honest: the absolute fool in me wanted textor. i've learned nothing from the early moshiri days. i was eating up textor talking about bringing in the world's best players, goodison being a wonderful place, and likening owning everton to being the president of the united states. but, it's probably for the best that we've swerved big john textie, isn't it? but, not 100% sold on friedkin either... looking at the roma appointments, i.e. mourinho, de rossi, etc, they don't seem particularly imaginative, do they? they're not out there scouring the world for upcoming coaches the way the best run clubs are. i've seen "links" (made up for content?) that friedkin wants southgate??? i hope those links are absolute nonsense. but having said all that negative stuff, i really don't want to put too much of a dampener on things because, let's be honest, TFG is a GIGANTIC upgrade on moshiri. and i've seen the tweet going around on twitter from a roma fan saying TFG's not shy about putting their own money into the club, and that's exactly what we need. and they have brought in silverware under TFG ownership. so... we'll see. well in for the podcast matt and paddy--always interesting and enjoyable to listen along.
@@theblues8840 i think you've missed the qualifying concession in my opening sentence, i.e. "the absolute fool in me" i.e. the hopeless optimist in me, i.e. only a fool would learn nothing from the moshiri reign, i.e. i'm a fool. it's just an attempt at self-deprecating humour. i even go on to say "it's for the best we swerved textor" so i'd hoped i'd made my point crystal clear. re: textor's sincerity, it remains a known unknown. he's clearly a barmpot, and probably not the steady hand we're looking for. but, is his passion for football insincere? is his ambition for his clubs a front he puts on? i'm not so sure about that. the way he melted down over botafogo's title miss seemed perfectly genuine. do we want an owner on the pitch shouting at refs? probably not. so don't misunderstand me again, i'm not saying textor is the right man because he's passionate and ambitious. if it was about passion and ambition then you could drag any blue off the street and give them the keys to the club. sometimes you need to combine ambition with ice in the veins as opposed to fire in the heart. friedkin seems the icier of the two options, doesn't he? fingers crossed TFG turn out to be good owners.
Great positive show lads thank you.
Ndiaye is a joy to watch 💙

Lets just hope this goes through and we can get it right on the pitch starting Saturday

How is it possible to learn nothing from Moshiri?
It couldn’t have been more clear that Textor was just waffling to pull the wool over fans eyes
