Amazing. This guy squats with weight like that and goes all the way down for a full squat. That's what you call a full squat with tremendous weight. Great respect for this man.
Google Kirk Karwoski Tribute, the 15minute one. It's around in the middle of the movie.
Captain Kirk is the man.
New to the Captain Kirk fan club! The man is a BEAST!! Best squatter eva...
best range of motion, one of the greatest power lifters despite lack of brain power.
True powerlifter
hes a BEAST!!!!!!
Is this not the strongest, deepest squat ever? The best I have seen. Do a quick utube search for SQUATPRECISION. For everyone other than Capt. Kirk, this develops your absolute maximum pound, legal depth, one rep squat .
One day I'll have a third part of his strenght!
The Captain
Captin Kirk..straight STUDD!!
Quads of the Gods.
For all the Kirk fans, here is some long lost home video that we just posted of him. At first glance his thickness at the time (1994) is almost shocking. Check it out here th-cam.com/video/isdbuAwXjLs/w-d-xo.html
Kirk Karwoski: The definition of a true squatter.
I love his signature yell
My man goes deep!!! Thats how you do it
he probably eats my bodyweight everyday. what a monster. incredible.
Intense eyes.
hell yeah, 90 degrees, only way to do a squat!
Captain Kirk, baby!!!
that was deep
hooollyyy SHHITT, look at those legs!!!! :OOO
Fan-fucking-tastic. Awesome lift.
the legend!
That is true. He would definitively been strong without the roids as well. But instead of squating 440 kg, me might have squatted 380 or something like that. That is still really really good squatting considering the fact that the gear wasn't that effective those days.
@KarlosPaco33
Thanks, and... WOW!
You said it donnie mate. Im 35 waist 29 length at 200 pounds and finding a pair that fits is as rare as rocking horse turd
what a fucking beast his quads are so big LOL!
That squat was deep for it being 968lbs. He didn't half ass it and thats what makes him so good, he trains hard.
Coan had MASSIVE hands, just a freaky proportioned guy. Also whats "small" in terms of powrlifting hand size? Probably still huge!
How do i get strength like him? Me want to be big and strong...I said my prayers, took my vitamins and even drinked milk, still nothing:(
His legs are HUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!
Just because you have small legs, doesn't mean you have hate on those that don't. Maybe we like taking an hour to find one pair of 40 inch waist,(when mine is 32) to fit our legs. Ever think of that?
@kwstas67
I squat below parallel. Have done for 26 years, no problems.
As far as legs in bench, just put force down through the floor under your feet, but don't raise your ass off the bench, that's all.
There's a vid of him hitting 800x5 in training.
his legs are like trees
Where can I get this DVD?
so much more impressive when its walked out
I agree with everything except the big legs, i can see you wanting big muscular legs but kirk mentions you have to grease up before you run or your thighs rub eachother raw. Not to mention having to get tailor made pants to fit your legs, say goodbye to nice jeans or suit pants. Legs like that your pants will have a 50in waste. Rather be small and strong, more efficient.
i would estimate about 390 kilos and to proper depth, amoung the ever greatest!!
Sumo is a deadlift, not a squat.
What year was this?
well ofc ... it's the world record..
could you see this guy doing cross fit lol
I don't think the gear really makes that much of a difference. Anyone who makes strength gains with weights trains hard. Sure; a lot of lifters might use steroids so they can train harder and lift more; but it's really the training. Day in day out lifters make sacrifices to train as training is almost like a job.
Where at?
How much weight is that, in Lbs.?
How about Mikesell?
whatever is allowed is allowed.
how does this guy buy pants?

It was really easy!!
Come on, gear does add lots, BUT you still have to unrack and walkout 440kg, the gear doesn't help you do that. Same as benching, you still have to be able to handle the bigger weights. The CNS takes a beating too.
@maulstik Who needs pants?
Kirk's a legend.
One of the all-time best squatters, period.
I am leaving in a few minutes to compete in my third meet and have been watching squat videos for inspiration. No one who has not competed should speak a negative word about guys like Kirk, as athletes. I don't know the man, but certainly as a strength athlete he is utterly amazing.
As far as the whole "rat" thing, unless you TRULY know the deal, don't spread unfounded rumours. It's not fair.
That may be so, but if Ed Coan is God, Kirk Karwoski is Jesus.
@Leeuwer XD
why doesnt anyone say good lift man i would like to do that? its either steroids or gear or steroids or a belt or WHO CARES LIFT THE WEIGHT AND GET STRONGER! thats what its all about. It doesnt matter where you compete at ur still doing it!
His legs are (H)umongous (U)ngodly (G)igantic and (E)normous!!!!
fucking monster wtf
haha lolage
awesome squat but Shane Hammon was the best.
You should get the facts straight. After Kirks "friends" were busted, Kirk went on to post his best toatal and squat while working out at MAC, including a 1000x2 Squat. Kirk is not a rat, maybe you should look at Scott Werner, Mr. 550 Bench at 165lb. He was definetely a liar and cheat and had to move to CA after ratting everybody. If you do not know the whole story you should not start rumors! I guess we will have to agree to disagree...
no insults please; keep it clean. Why should it bother you if lifters use steroids and squat suits?
such small legs...
bad....... ass......
Copy that, big 10-4.
steroids
Once again, another guy that spends too much time on youtube insulting the greats and not enough time under the bar...
Anyone else ever notice that it's always the weak people that don't compete that blame everything on steroids and gear?
@mrlatino187 Low bar.
@daluke61 970 lbs

This man is awesome. I have gotten the opportunity to work out with him and in three months, he taught me his technique on the bench and my max went up 50 pounds.
