Orthodox religion is a very beautiful religion
I couldn't agree more! The Orthodox faith is indeed beautiful in its rich traditions, profound spirituality, and vibrant community life. It's a source of inspiration and comfort for many, reflecting the depth of Christian spirituality throughout history. 🙏

Which is the first song?
I think it's a song they are signing in this church adapted to orthodoxy.
Σωσον Κυριε των λαον σου και ευλογισων την κληρονομια σου
Amen
Is this an Orthodox Church or a Roman Catholic church?
It is confusing
Greetings from Greece to Uganda ☦️❤️🔥
Thank you. The music here is used as an exception in this church with mixed cultural influences. So it's about the local context, traditions, and pastoral decisions of each community. It's important to understand that the Holy Liturgy is a mystery and an expression of faith, and the way it is celebrated may vary in different locations.

Are you ignorant?where is your doubt based on OF course is Orthodox
@@dimitriosvlissides5781 No, they are PRODUKTE LIKE GREEKS

You are the ignorant one. This is not Classic Orthodox Liturgy at all staring with the use of musical instruments
Why are you using piano in the church ?
The instrument here is used as an exception in this church with mixed cultural influences. So it's about the local context, traditions, and pastoral decisions of each community. It's important to understand that the Holy Liturgy is a mystery and an expression of faith, and the way it is celebrated may vary in different locations.
@@HristosInAfrica Yes, but the Ecumenical Councils determined that it is preferable not to use musical instruments in churches. I hope that this message reaches the Metropolitan, given its importance for the salvation of souls
@@j.m.d298Yes, it's not within the Church tradition, but as you said, there are some exceptions here and there.
@@HristosInAfrica We the Orthodox are called upright, so how can we be upright and we allow exceptions ?
We say that our religious traditions have not changed since the apostles. Did the piano exist in the days of the apostles?
@@HristosInAfrica Try to gradually eliminate the instruments. Otherwise you have an opened door to personal interpretation ... and look how many denominations, moved away from the catholic church.

Revelation 14:6
Thank you for sharing! I'll look into it.
@@HristosInAfrica Thanks be to God Almighty through Jesus Christ
@@HristosInAfricaThere is no exception.
This is pure rituals. What is that smoke for?
Thank you for asking. In the Orthodox faith, incense plays a significant role in worship and prayer. It's not merely a ritual but a symbolic and sensory experience deeply rooted in tradition and scriptural precedent.
In the Old Testament, incense was used in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple as an offering to God (Exodus 30:1-10). Its use symbolized purification, as well as the prayers of the people rising to God as a pleasing aroma.
Similarly, in Orthodox Christian worship, incense is used to symbolize prayers ascending to heaven, creating a sacred atmosphere conducive to prayer and meditation. The smoke also serves as a visual reminder of the presence of the Holy Spirit, who fills the space with His grace.
Moreover, the use of incense engages all the senses, enhancing the worship experience. The aroma stimulates the sense of smell, while the sight of the rising smoke draws attention upward, directing one's focus towards the divine.
In Orthodox worship, icons are also central, engaging the sense of sight, and prayers are recited audibly, engaging the sense of hearing. Thus, the use of incense, combined with icons and prayer, creates a holistic experience, involving all the senses and fostering a deeper connection with God.
@@HristosInAfrica I love Revelation 5:8 when talking about incense. I think it perfectly illustrates the symbolism and theology behind it: "Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints."
I'm very happy to see Holy Orthodoxy having a foothold in Uganda :)
@@hasselnttper3730 That's true, as you said, incense is also called the "prayer of the saints". Thanks!
Protestants! In Holy Orthodoxy women have to cover their hair and pews are forbidden
Rest assured, there might be some catechumens in our church as well. Regarding the practice of women covering their hair, it's essential to understand the historical and cultural context of the Biblical instruction. In Holy Orthodoxy, we follow traditions that have evolved over centuries in various cultural contexts, including here in Uganda, Africa.
@@HristosInAfrica Wrong my dear protestant. There is nothing "cultural". You ARE GODLESS PROTESTANTS. YOU HAE NOTHING TO DO WITH HOLY ORTHODOXY.
alexpabagiotus ...where for instance in Greece the women cover the heads with a scarf NOWHERE
