**Seville local here**. Never heard of those scams. Or maybe I've never been a target. But I would advice to be aware of the gypsy ladies friendly giving you a branch of rosemary or any other plant and then trying to read your future from the palm of your hand. They'll "ask" for money afterwards and if you don't give them any, they'll literally put a curse on you lol They tend to be on the avenue next to the catedral and Archivo de Indias.
I've lived in Sevilla for 7 years and give cultural tours and have never heard of any of these scams...I'd say Sevilla is pretty safe, just guard your bag as in any other major city
I'm really tired of TH-cam "travel channels" using robotic, possibly AI-scripted narration, stock photos and stolen video, and knowing so little about the target cities that locals come in the comments to point out they've never heard of the things the video talks about!
Thanks for a helpful video - smooth production - important for us to know about the bull fighting arena - we wont be visiting Seville until this practice stops 🤷
Even though I have read a lot of comments that your pronunciation is not good, it didn't bother me. Your message came across perfectly fine. Guess I'm not a purist. Thanks for the tips.
You can eat good paella all around paella. You know, the worst paella I eat was in Valencia. I am sorry, but I am spanish and I see you have no so much knowledge about Spain. You are so disrespectful talking about Spain.
I'm from Sevilla. I had never heard so many lies about Seville. Most of the scams that the video talks about are ridiculous, they don't exist. It's funny to see how when he talks about scams like the "three boxes" he uses images that are not from Seville, not even a Spanish city. That's not Seville 😂
I agree with you. Sevilla is one of the safest crime free places to visit. Yeah it can get fabulously hot, but taxi and street scams? I’ve been to Seville twice ❤
@@Gozyization Street scams? Who are those who scam in this city and throughout Europe...Romanians, from some African country? I'm not politically correct ...Taxi? Taxi drivers are thieves all over the world. In every country I've been to, a taxi driver has robbed me, southern and northern Europe, in all countries.
Pa EH la??? Are you for real? That being said, I got sapovirus from eating bad paella [ undercook mussels in Seville, Spain near Alameda last week. . Felt like hell on my last day there.
I feel less informed now after watching this. You’ve butchered the Spanish language and taught me nada. Pay Ella?! Are you standing under Rihanna’s umbr ella ella ella?
You forgot to mention the freaking ladies handing you a "romero plant" to give you good luck. Once you accept it they will grab your hand and "read" your hand and so on... then, you want to tip them 1 Euro and they will get mad and make a scene about how offended they feel about how little you give them. They will demand at least 20 EUROS and if you don't, they will spell bad luck on you... PLEASE, PLEASE, avoid these ladies at all costs
Thank you for your comment. I was very disappointed with the voiceover on this video and I am looking for a replacement....someone who does know how to pronounce "paella". Again, thank you!
Thank you for your input.....I was disappointed with the voiceover on this video and am searching for someone who does know how to pronounce "paella" Have a great day!
If you are going to make a video about Spain AT LEAST pronounce things properly. Most of the info you share is incorrect. Sadly people will hear ‘ an American ‘ with no idea about Seville.

Here’s another thing not to do in Sevilla: say Pay-ella.
...or say Valen-see-a
Omg i was like….wait…wtf is pay-el-a

Pie-AY-uh - Tinto de Verano is basically red wine and Lemon Fanta but Squirt works too.
La Paela? Really? your mangaling of the Spanish disqualifies you immediately
😂
And Andalooseeuh lol
Definitely 😂! Credibility=0
I know it physically hurts right?😂
"Your mangaling"...????
YOU'RE in no position to criticise, mate.
Payella and Vallenseeya? I'd have thought this was narrated by AI if this was made more recently, sheesh.

You said the locals eat their main meal at lunch and their main meal at dinner. Is it two main meals per day?
Even though I have read a lot of comments that your pronunciation is not good, it didn't bother me. Your message came across perfectly fine. Guess I'm not a purist. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you for your response. I am, however, trying to find a new person to do the voiceover that knows how to pronounce "paella" LOL

You are so disrespectful talking about Spain.
And never say that it's too hot on the summer or that you don't like Semana Santa. They will get MAD!!
But many of the locals say those things too! No one can deny it's too hot! 😂
I'm a local. It is too hot on summer and I don't like semana santa
Having to listen to Paella mispronounced so many times was brutal and I'm not even from Spain.

Me too. This is so fake that it hurts.

Helpful without being frightening

A friend of mine got her wallet stolen from her purse. I had my wallet in my pocket the whole time.

Maybe learn some basic Spanish
Why?

How about you learn to pronounce Spanish words if you want to do a video on Spain
1:03 most messed up pronunciation of paella that I've heard in my life. Da hell dude! Then 1:08 says "PALLELA". DA HELLL!!!!
JESUS DAMN! then he says VALENCEEEA! You sound like an illiterate kid.
Stopped watching after hearing him mispronounce paella twice.
Agree with you. How do you make a video like this and you don’t have a clue how to pronounce Paella.
I'm not even Spanish, but you lost credibility just by the mispronunciation of paella.
Thank you for your comment. I was very disappointed with the voiceover on this video and I am looking for a replacement....someone who does know how to pronounce "paella". Again, thank you!
Good idea to learn how to pronounce Paella if acting as an “ expert “
