Hello Monte today is June 27 and I still haven’t got the rat rod in the shop yet the teardown to see what’s going on with it. They told me it probably be 1 to 2 more weeks so fingers crossed. It’s just a head gasket or the head, and not a liner hope you’re doing good buddy. We are dealing with some pretty mean heat out here this week. Have a great week man.
Got to keep going with trucking, yeah the spot market is odd lately. You can find runs that pay better but you got to be running totally different runs. Not the normal routes and got to be willing to do over 500 mile runs, more like 800- 1,000 mile runs to get the better money. But direct freight is the way to go in the long run. Got to request to bid on routes or runs from direct shipping warehouses, production and manufacturing. Been thinking about getting back to some agriculture running beside refeer running. I was raised on a farm and ranch where we had many small grain elevators in a Farmers Coop. I drove some for a friend of mine several years back when he had a some trucks running hoppers hauling grain and fert. Take Care and keep the rubber on the road. 👍

How did you get into hoppers? I've been interested in that for a while now and want to get out of this dry van world and park that trailer so I can make some money again.. My W9 would be perfect for AG life...I really like the whole environment around hopper bottoms.. I want to be able to work again and do something that's meaningful and enjoyable again and not be the only American at almost every warehouse I go to that is wearing the PROPER FOOTWARE!
Anthony, our hopper bottom work goes hand-in-hand with our tanker work. We generally move dry fertilizer in our hopper bottoms, very seldomly. Do we haul grain unless we are just slow at the moment and looking for something to fill-in. Thanks for watching.
